  • "What a fabulous home and beautiful situation!"

Thank you, we enjoyed five great days staying in this lovely property. Wonderful views from the kitchen/diner and lounge. Situated a short walk from the beach and all amenities. The bathroom and shower room were exceptional, roomy and looked newly refurbished. Comfortable sofas in the lounge and dining area. Large enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. We felt that the pictures did not do this property justice! I guess the only constructive feedback would be to renew the king size bed in the double room and then it would be perfect! Once again, thank you for a lovely quality property.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owners. Property Owner

  • "Windy hill is a wonderful house, great views, great location, perfect seaside holiday house."

Good wetsuit and wet gear, post beach utility and hanging area with outside warm shower for post surf, desanding. Well equipped kitchen, lovely sofa in the kitchen for relaxing, reading and looking at the views. The only shame with John bray cottages is that you have to pay extra for bedding/ linen which just feels a bit tight. It would also be nice if check out could be relaxed back to pre covid time of 10, it is a holiday afterall. The house itself i really loved, I hope we will get the chance to come back and stay again one day.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and to the owner. The lack of bedding is a way of reducing the price of booking the property for guests, they can either bring their own or hire some. The check out time of 9.30 is a topic of debate but we are always looking of ways we can improve this. We are glad that you still enjoyed your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Lovely, exceptionally well equipped bungalow with THE MOST AMAZING sea views."

Spacious, well-thought out accommodation with everything you want/need for a great break. I was confused what bedding to take - wasn’t sure if sheets/blankets/duvet covers - the write up would benefit from saying that duvets are provided. The only negative is that for a bungalow that is brilliantly accessible inside for a wheelchair user, it would have been great if one of the four entrances had been wheelchair accessible - all have steps…even to the more recently added extension. Nonetheless, would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay at Windyhill and had the perfect base to explore the local area from. I’m sorry that there was confusion with regards to what the bedding would be at the property all properties do come with duvets and pillows. Thank you for letting us know about the lack of wheelchair access to the property, for any future bookings please don’t hesitate to contact John Bray Cornish Holidays and they may well be able to help with supplying a ramp. -- John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Great house with spectacular views of the sea and a lovely garden."

The house was really well equipped couldn’t ask for more. Particularly liked the fact that there were chairs placed so as to get the best views of the sea from the lounge. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at WindyHill.

  • "Second stay at Windyhill."

It’s a great house - fab view, comfortable enough without being so posh that you’re scared to breathe in it, very well equipped kitchen, safe garden for small children are the positives. A barbecue would be an asset but that’s a small point. Minor grumbles: cleanliness not up to standard(I found empty sweets packets and old hair bands under the beds when I was making them up. Also there were grubby finger marks on the kitchen cabinets). Recycling- very glad it’s come to North Cornwall at last, but a fortnightly collection is not enough and it felt wrong to leave it in the house - which is the only option now the recycling place near the loos in Polzeath has gone. Finally, getting everyone packed, breakfasted, dressed and out of the house so I can clean it before 9 am on day of departure is a shockingly stressful way of ending an otherwise excellent holiday. If it could be extended, say to 10.30, it would make life much easier and you’d probably find your houses vacated in a cleaner state. But feedback is offered in a constructive spirit and overall we had a great fortnight. We’ll definitely be back.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. We are sorry that you found the cleanliness not up to standard and we will ensure this is passed back to the cleaners of the property. Recycling in the area is definitely a problem especially as all the local recycling bins have been removed from the local vicinities, hopefully this will become easier in the future and more solutions are being looked into. While we understand the frustration of leaving the property at 9am this has been brought in to allow enough time to sanitise the property. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner
