  • "Really lovely clean lodge with excellent views of the lake."

A little difficult to find - Go through the barriers and follow the road till the Nisa shop is on the right. Bear right and over the bridge. At the end of the road turn right, then left and Mandarin Drive is the second right.

  • "We loved staying at Mandarin Lodge ."

. everything worked perfectly .. the only difficulty was finding the lodge amongst huge holiday park and the staff were not that helpful, when they found out we’d booked this with the owner. The check in is rather late too .. 5pm does not give us time to settle in and find our way around before while it’s still light…

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are very pleased that you enjoyed the lodge. We have now amended the check in time to 3pm in view of your comments and we hope you will stay again in the future. Property Owner

  • "Kitchen cupboard door hanging off."

Dishwasher not working - notice attached to it indicated it hadn’t been working for some time. Painters were painting deck as we arrived & didn’t make a good job of it ( they painted round door mats). Some of the vertical blinds were broken. Information booklet very poor in content. The park generally has not been looked after. WiFi was inadequate for internet browsing & TV services connections eg Netflix.

The whole living area and outside surrounding the lodge is checked as it is cleaned after each guest and as it has been fully booked it is therefore checked at least once a week on changeovers. There has been no previous issue raised about the cupboard door so it's possible that it became loose during your stay. We do provide our contact numbers at the property and Sykes also have a dedicated help line for all guests at their properties. The door would have been rectified immediately if we had known and we are sorry that you did not give any of us the opportunity to do so. The property is not advertised with a dishwasher and so this is not part of the the property facilities. The decking was being painted with a one hour quick dry wood care as we like to keep the maintenance to a very high standard and with remedial work as up to date as possible before a guest checks in. On this particular occasion you checked in slightly earlier than the advertised time and so the work was still being completed. The mats are painted around because they are screwed down to keep them in place. There was one virtual strip missing on the blinds and I would like to reassure guests that this is on order and the replacement should be with us very shortly, these things do regrettably happen with a property that is in constant use and sometimes cannot be fixed immediately if a part has to be ordered. There are many ideas attractions and important information leaflets in our folder plus a huge amount to do on the site as it has been enormously popular with many new attractions this year . The Wi-Fi is usually more than adequate, it is a strong signal and we have never had a previous complaint but we will monitor it. Property Owner

  • "Fantastic lodge with a great view of the lake!"

Only downside was the sound of cars driving on the dual carriageway at the back of the lodge park during day but during night it was ok.

Upon entering the property, you're welcomed by the modern open-plan living space, perfect to keep your eye on the little ones as they settle in on the sofa to enjoy their favourite TV show whilst you prepare some tasty treats in the fully equipped kitchen.
