  • Mrs Worland

“A comfortable, clean and spacious cottage, centrally located for many places of interest and attractions.”

Only downside was it's situation, on the through road with significant traffic noise.

The property

Aldwell House rests on a quiet village road, in the heart of the village of Empingham, situated just 1 mile from Rutland water.

Designed with families and friends in mind, this retreat is both charming and relaxing, with plenty of space to unwind before and after your daily adventures.

The front door leads you straight into the entrance hall with stairs ahead and a cloakroom behind this.

To the right, discover the open study/reading room with its ornamental fireplace and arm chair.

Further along the hall is the sitting room, home to sofas, and a TV, perfect for a cosy evening in.

The open dining room with vaulted ceiling leads to the garden area through the french doors.

From here, the well-equipped kitchen with plenty of cupboard space comprises a collection of appliances including a dishwasher, fridge, double electric oven and gas hob.

A small utility type room offshoots the kitchen, where the freezer, washing machine and a small sink can be found.

There are also more cupboards, and this doubles up as a good spot to leave your muddy boots behind.

Upstairs at the front of the house is a fairly large double bedroom with wardrobe and storage, whilst next to this bedroom is the family bathroom, an ivory suite hosting a bath with a shower above.

The middle bedroom boasts plenty of wardrobe and storage space, along with a fabulous view over the garden.

Lastly, the master bedroom is presented as a king-size double bed, enhanced by an adjoined shower room.

Outside, the garden reveals a paved area along the back of the house including seating, and an outbuilding provides lockable storage.

Rutland water is approximately one mile away and can be reached by car, bicycle or on foot as there is a footpath route leading you to Rutland water.

This property is in a conservation area and so would appeal to walkers, nature enthusiasts and cyclists alike.
