"If there’s one thing I value in a holiday above everything else it’s just not having to worry
Everything is thought of in this beautiful cottage, and the hosts are always happy to help and thoughtful of guests needs, spending time to explain the mystery of the Aga, not very mysterious after all, just a more relaxed way of cooking."
The surrounding countryside is beautiful and great to explore, and 20 minutes in the hot tub after a walk is a great way to begin an evening

"Fabulous holiday let, better than described."
David (owner) met us on arrival to talk through how to work the hot tub and the Aga. Also plenty of pointers in relation to local amenities. We loved cooking with the Aga. The kitchen is well equipped everything you need. Shower room was clean and the double shower is a great addition so you don't have one person getting cold whilst the other showers after the hot tub.
Due to the age of the cottage it does have low beams, you need to remember to duck, and don't have your sunglasses on the top of your head.
Beds are really comfy and we slept great.
The cottage is a great location for people wanting to visit Cambridge, we visited other local country parks and several of the local pubs. Lots of great eating places close by.
Great for the dog, some of the walks from the cottage he didn't have to go on the lead, secure property, not to mention his new favorite spot became laying in front of the Aga.
We don't often revisit places, however, we have said we will go back and stay again.
Thank you!! So lovely to meet you all Property Owner

"Cleanliness was a big issue we had to wash all cutlery and utensils before use as they still had food attached to them from previous visitors."
Bathroom bin had personal rubbish in from the previous visitors too. Had to question how well the cottage had been cleaned prior to our arrival especially when we both became ill during our stay.
Hot tub was amazing so not all bad. I would warn people on the taller side that the ceilings are very low in some areas not a negative but just to be aware.
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately as no issues were mentioned on our multiple visits to the property, we were unable to address this for you.
Please be assured our cutlery and utensils are put through a dishwasher clean after every visit, and the bins are emptied during each and every changeover.
Im really happy to hear you enjoyed the use of the hot tub whilst on your visit to us.

"Cosy, clean & comfortable…."
By far one of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in.
It was so well equipped including every utensil you could think of, a double shower, spacious hot tub, washing machine and over 50 dvds!
David met us when we arrived for a good chat about the area and the cottage. He gave us some “Aga training“ and a thorough guide to the hot tub so we got the best out of it. He was very friendly and approachable should we have needed anything at all.
The Aga produced the best food!! We made a chicken curry, beef burgers and beef & ale stew. Highly recommend you put some jacket potatoes in for a good 6hrs too. Just put your meal in first thing and leave it for hours.
Our dog absolutely LOVED it! He was so settled in the cottage and there were so many walks straight out of the door.
We managed to relax and switch off very quickly. Great location with plenty of walks, towns nearby and a pub literally down the road (pie night on Tuesdays).
We’ve booked for next year!

"What a gem, The Little Thatched Cottage is snug, warm and cozy, with everything you could need for a relaxing break."
There is a sparkling clean hot tub set in a secluded garden; a fully equipped kitchen with Aga and dishwasher, wet room bathroom and comfortable furniture.
It is dog friendly and surrounded by wonderful walking countryside.
With it being a very old property it does have uneven floors upstairs and low ceilings in areas so care needs to be taken, however you learn very quickly and only crack your head once!!
Lovely local hosts live nearby and are available to assist if needed.
Well worth a visit.

"The cottage was amazing, had everything you would want in a holiday home and more."
The location was fantastic. We had lots of beautiful walks around the area and everyone we met was so friendly. David and Karen the hosts have made this a real home from home. We met David and we have to say he was incredible. He went to a lot of trouble to get us information prior to arrival on things for our son to do whilst in the area. He also was exceedingly helpful throughout our stay. We ate out on many occasions in the area in several of the local pubs and they all were superb. We even got the hang of the Aga with David’s help.

"A fantastic week relaxing at this cottage."
Dave was so friendly and helpful. The hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed relaxing in the large well-kept garden. There was an honesty wine rack which was a wonderful touch, especially as we arrived very late and were able to sit down with a glass of wine without having to do any shopping first. Very comfortable and clean, in a quiet village with a pub, shop and café, and the whole area is crisscrossed with footpaths which afforded some lovely walks.

"The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well presented."
The owner introduced himself and was keen to find out if we had everything we needed. The file with instructions and information was very comprehensive.
The cottage interior was very inviting although if you're over about 5'7" you need to duck quite often to avoid beams and low doorways! The Aga ensured that the kitchen was always warm.
Outside the back garden was lovely with plenty of seating and tables. The shed was very useful to store my bike and the hot tub good for relaxing after a long ride.
The area is quite quiet with footpaths aplenty to explore.
Can't fault anything!

The bed is large and comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and the whole place is immaculately clean. Lying in the hot tub looking up at the stars is not to be missed!
When we went, the local pub had yet to re-open but our (friendly, local) hosts gave great recommendations for others in the area.
The garden is beautiful and secure, which was great for our dog, who also loved the rug in front of the Aga.
It’s a very old cottage, so mind your head!

"The cottage is charming, very old and quaint."
It was spotlessly clean and had everything we could wish for, plus extras. There are low beams and wonky floors as is to be expected with a house like this. The aga was a new experience for us. There is a beautiful enclosed garden. There are walks from the door in all directions and you can walk for ages without having to cross a road. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We found lots to do in the area and the local pub is great, with good food, a lot of outside space and it is dog-friendly.
