“Such a beautiful cottage and the garden is immaculate.”

Sitting in the hot tub in such a nice setting really is a treat after a nice walk with the dogs.

Sitting in the hot tub in such a nice setting really is a treat after a nice walk with the dogs. The village itself is very friendly, everyone you walk past says hello and it feels like a nice community. The owners of the cottage are very welcoming and they provide so much information for you on arrival which helps so much with the local area for walks and eating places. Will 100% be going again!

Found tucked away in the quaint village of Riseley is the Grade II listed abode, The Little Thatch Cottage.

Built in 1640, this heart-warming detached accommodation has been designed for a couple or for a small family seeking to explore the diverse landscape of the surrounding countryside.

The interior exudes a sense of character the moment you step through the porch, where you can hand your raincoats and leave your walking shoes before relaxing into the evening. The beams in the sitting room frame the plush seating arrangement, where you and your partner can cosy up in front of the TV or choose to indulge in a good book.

Step into the kitchen, where an impressive AGA awaits you, enticing the chef of the party to cook up a storm before joining your loved ones at the dining table to celebrate a wonderful holiday and plan the next days adventure.

From here, follow the staircase up to the bedrooms, comprising of a king-size double and a single single bed, ideal for any additional guests.

To the outside of the cottage, a spacious garden area awaits, where your canine companions can roam freely as you rustle up a summer dish on the barbecue or dip into your private hot tub to soak up your picturesque surroundings and open up a refreshing beverage as you catch the final glimpses of sun.

If you fancy a special treat one evening, choose to stroll to the local pub where you will be delighted to find a delicious dining menu and a welcoming atmosphere.

To keep you busy whilst staying here, find a plethora of walks and cycle routes from the doorstep of the cottages, each one promising breath-taking scenery and plenty of picnic opportunities along the way.

Walk to the woods, where in Spring they are a carpet of Bluebells.

During the Summer alive with wildlife and equally stunning in Autumn months.

For those feeling slightly more adventurous, Twinwoods Adventure is located a short drive away, offering opportunities for skydiving, shooting, racing and surfing. If you travel further afield, you could spend a day exploring the delights of the city of Cambridge or catch an event at Silverstone, home of British motor racing.
