A responsive owner who is friendly but not intrusive. An easy place to get to and to access within reach of many attractions. We had a wonderful time at BB house and have booked to return in June.

The owners were extremely welcoming (especially the much needed hug after loosing my dear husband.) It is located in beautiful surroundings which give a nice calm feeling. The house was well equipped even with washer and dryer for those staying longer. Would highly recommend.

  • "BB House is a holiday let of a very high standard."

Clean, bright and modern, with every facility. Part of an eco friendly farm, it is well located for visiting nearby attractions. The highlight of our week was a visit to Bletchley Park, less than half an hour away, but there is so much more to see and do in the area.

  • "This is a very spacious ground floor property in excellent condition."

. It is well equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable as are the leather settees. We had an enjoyable time here and visited many places of interest. Just one small thing - For us elderly ones the only downside was the lighting in the lounge... we like reading and felt the lights were inadequate. But otherwise Aok. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

A spacious, well equipped cottage with many things around to do locally such as Bletchley Park, Woburn Safari park or simply a walk around the lake at the nearby Forest Centre. My morning, traffic free runs around the farm were perfect. Lovely owners, always happy to help. Thanks for a wonderful getaway.

The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, is clean and really nicely decorated. Julia is a great hostess and it was lovely to see her again and hear about the plans for gardens etc. The cottage is well located and the information pack gives great suggestions on things to do. We will definitely be back, in fact we're thinking of booking the granary next year!

  • "From the photo and description it is easy to assume that the property is single story when in fact it is not ."

On several nights there was obviously someone above us watching tv , which was loud and prevented some members of our party getting to sleep . The time for leaving the property 9am is very early , it being the earliest I can remember . The property owners are very pleasant ( the homemade brownies on the table when we arrived were delicious) and dealt with our complaint about the noise coming from above us .

The accommodation is spacious but had a very cosy feel to it. A lovely lake to sit by and watch the ducks in good weather and pretty walks around the farm if you don’t want to drive anywhere. Host was very friendly and the chocolate brownies on arrival were very much appreciated. Would definitely stay there again when we are next visiting the area.

  • "Lovely countryside location with lake views on arrival."

BB House over looks an inner court yard which is an ideal place to sit outside during the warmer months. Very clean, well equiped, spacious property with some luxury touches - a soak in the roll top bath in a luxury bathroom went down a treat & the bottle of wine & tray of cakes went down a treat too. Property is located in Bedfordshire and not Cambridgeshire as described by Sykes which I mentioned to them when booking as I noticed that there isn't a search area for Bedfordshire.

Upon arrival Julia was very friendly and the milk, wine and brownies were a delightful touch! Immaculately presented three bedroom cottage with lots of home comforts and special touches to make this cottage a wonderful place to stay! Nothing was too much trouble when we advised Julia that we had an issue with the TV and heating it was immediately fixed. Highly recommend and will hopefully return very soon! Thank you

  • "It was such a lovely holiday."

The cottage was beautiful. Comfy beds, lovely kitchen with huge table, beautiful walks around the farm. The lounge had 3 sofas so we could all comfortably rest and chat. The owners were lovely and helpful. On arrival there were some delicious brownies and tea, coffee, milk and cold water in the fridge. There were lovely little cards around the house with instructions which made things easier. The WiFi speed was really good, despite the card with the code saying it was slow! We were able to stream TV via out Roku which we brought with us so we could watch Disney with the kids. Is there a downside? The parking isn’t directly outside the property, you have to walk round through the courtyard and down a small passage and then down 2 steps, so remember to take shopping bags when you pop to the shops! We have a plug in hybrid and are getting a fully electric car soon, so it may be tricky in future as we will need to find electric charging points or plugs near where the car is parked…but this applies to any holiday rental. Maybe Sykes and other rental platforms can lobby the government to provide funding to install car charging points at holiday properties so that more people going electric can holiday more easily in the UK to boost the economy more?!

  • "BB House was a great find and a great stay, questions before visiting were answered quickly by the owner via customer services, we were met by the owner Julie on arrival and given plenty of additional information in addition to the pack inside the property."

The property was immaculate and extremely clean which made us feel very at ease and at home, it was a great base to work out from for the surrounding area and beyond. The internet is much quicker than information provided before arriving (measured at 10Mbps), the TV does lose signal occasionally and can be irratic but also has stable periods more often than not. The rest of the rooms were great with a built-in fridge as well as a under counter fridge/mini freezer unit which can easily store a week's shopping for meals. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay and would happily recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

  • "Our second stay in this property this year, a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings."

Everything is very clean and the cottage feels spacious and comfortable. It is unusual to find a cottage for 6 that actually has enough sofas and space to sit round the dining table! We were there for a family christening but also managed to visit Ampthill and the Forest Park nearby. Plenty of shops and takeaways in the vicinity. Would highly recommend the cottage and the area. We hope to return next year.

  • "The BB house was excellent accomodation, spacious, well-specced and had everything that a family could need in three good sized bedrooms as well as decent sized living room and dining area."

It is directly linked to a farmhouse and the owner was very helpful and friendly However the description on Sykes website is incomplete as it says only 'ground floor accomodation' . In reality the apartment is accessed through a narrow downward sloping passage, with a right angle bend at the end and two steps with the doorway immediately to the left. This was a problem for us as my daughter is a wheelchair user and it was difficult to get her in and out of the apartment. As it was stated 'ground floor accomodation' with no mention of accessibility otherwise I did not expect this. The reference to the passageway and steps is buried in the directions to the apartment which one received after booking and is easy to miss However BB house was kept to a high standard, and I would recommend it to another family once they had no mobility issues. Please correct the listing to be clear that this property may not be suitable for persons with mobility problems. Otherwise the accomodation was very good.

  • "We have just returned from a weekend away."

The house has exceeded all of our expectations. We just wanted a basic place to stay to allow us to visit family, however this house was much more than that. The owner and her family were lovely and welcoming going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. From providing us with all the essentials needed for travelling with a baby to informing us about the local area and even giving us bread for the little one to feed the ducks. The house was amazingly clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
