“We have just returned from our second visit from Worle cottage and once again we felt very at home there.”

Again we really appreciated the lovely cake, flowers, juice and milk. I was expecting some post and twice the lovely owner came round to look in the locked postbox for us and in the end left us the key for the box. I really appreciated her efforts, thank you and the post did arrive in the end. We visited Bath, Chipping Sodbury and Clevedon. Had a lovely holiday and would recommend to anyone. Thanks again.

The property

A beautiful detached cottage in the village of Winterbourne Down, situated on the edge of the southern Cotswolds.

With a collection of heart-warming features and a cosy interior, this retreat promises a one-of-a-kind holiday experience for all the family.

Comprising of two wonderful sitting rooms, styled in a homely fashion, there is plenty of space to relax away from it all, whether you are joining the family for a home-cooked meal, or snuggling up in front of the woodburning stove.

The kitchen has a country-cottage-feel with a modern twist, a lovely place to rest at the breakfast bar with early morning refreshments or a delightful base to return to after the sun sets.

Upstairs you will discover three charming bedrooms; two doubles are neutrally presented with high-quality furnishings and pure attention to detail, whilst the twin room has a slightly different feel.

Elevated by ocean blue walls, and brass beds, which bring a real glimpse of character to the accommodation, you will be spoilt for choice.

On this floor you will also be impressed by the fabulous all-white bathroom, a peaceful haven showcasing sensor lights and lovely finishing touches.

To cater for all guests, an additional bathroom is located on the ground floor, and a utility area provides those extras you may need.

Wander outside to be at one with the location; the enclosed garden features its very own pond and patio, where you can sit back and take in the tranquillity of it all.

The village boasts a number of small shops, cafes and pubs, as well as a golf course nearby.

Bristol Zoo is worth a visit, whilst you can enjoy scenic walks along the Kennet and Avon canals, or alternatively there are walks along the Frome Valley just a few minutes from the cottage.

Just a short drive away are the coastal resorts of Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon, as well as the popular Westonbirt Arboretum.

Venture further inland for the beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds.

A home-away-from-home not to be forgotten.
