  • "We loved the cottage, a nice combination of modern convenience and style with old world charm."

Its two lounge areas were both cosy, but as there was only two of us and a small dog we found the smaller lounge area enough for us. The wine, biscuits, tea, coffee, and milk left by the owner were appreciated after our long journey. We like to bring a few electronic devices with us, it could do with more sockets about the place. It would also help if the many light switches were labelled. Fast deposit refund - thank you.

With quirky sloping floors in bedrooms. Great quiet location access to the beautiful Manor House hotel gardens . All facilities you could need. 2 pubs within easy Walking distance. Recommend Allington farm shop and cafe a short distance away . Great outdoor space to sit and enjoy sun.

  • "A fabulous cottage in a stunning location!"

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage - the stylish, spacious and delightfully quirky accommodation was perfect. The location was within the beautiful grounds of the stunning Manor Hotel. An absolute gem.

  • "The booking process was very easy."

The cottage was correctly represented online and I had no issues dealing directly with the owner regarding key collection. I would definitely recommend your company and I hope to use you again soon.

  • "A beautifully renovated cottage with excellent facilities."

The cottage is perfectly located in the heart of Castle Combe and the availability of the hotels facilities elevate it into a truly luxurious experience. We cannot recommend it too highly.

  • "Castle Combe Cottage was absolutely lovely - we were very impressed with it."

It is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The woodburner made it very cosy too! The local area was beautiful, it was very handy having two lovely pubs within a few yards, and we also enjoyed using the bar and walking in the grounds of the Manor House Hotel close by. We found the cottage very well located for our day trips to Bath, Bradford on Avon, Lacock, Westonbirt Arboretum and Tetbury. We would highly recommend the cottage and we plan to return ourselves. Special mention for the owner, Barbara, who was extremely helpful throughout, and to Allison, the housekeeper, who keeps the cottage beautifully clean and welcoming. Thank you!

  • "This beautiful cottage reached our expectations and more."

From the moment we walked in we felt at home. It's comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. We will definitely want to come back to Mead Cottage in the future.

    Mrs FarnallSep 2020

  • "A wonderful cottage in such a picturesque village, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone."

There are loads of interesting things to do in the surrounding area but we enjoyed coming back and sitting in the lovely little garden and enjoying the sunshine, which we were lucky enough to have, for the whole week.

    Mrs GarsideSep 2020

  • "This cottage is quite special."

It's location is perfect, and the cottage itself is stunning. \ \

    Mrs Burke

  • "We loved it - great beds, beautifully clean, wonderful walks, lovely courtyard, games, a bottle of wine on arrival."

    Mrs Dwyer

  • "I have to say that the quality of the cottage is exceptional."

Log fire and a wood burner with comfy sofas and contemporary furnishings. Two roll top baths, one in the main bedroom, and a fantastic walk in shower. Free wifi, flat screen TVs and iPod docking station. Every kitchen implement you could imagine but not really needed as two fantastic pubs within a stones throw from the cottage. Beautiful location and so peaceful. We cannot recommend this cottage enough and just hope that it doesn't mean that we can't get a future booking due to our little secret slice of paradise being revealed!

    Mrs K

  • "Mead Cottage feels like a home."

Log fires, luxurious floor heated bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, down feather pillows and duvets plus stylish decoration are just some of the amenities, which were way over my rental expectations. Add room service from the hotel down the road, placement in a picture perfect village plus the local attractions of Bath and Tetbury and a plethora of delicious restaurants in the vicinity and you have the perfect ingredients for a great and relaxing weekend. We certainly did. Just wished I could've stayed longer.

    Mrs T

  • "We loved the village of Castle Coombe, it was peaceful and beautiful and you had nice pubs to eat in and a very nice hotel."

We also thought the cottage was modern, cosy and welcoming. The garden was very nice for evening drinks, lunches and dinner.

Real wow factor. The location is stunning.

    Mrs Pearce

  • "Cottage was clean and tidy, fluffy towels, nice decor , lovely setting etc"

  • "Just returned from an idyllic week staying at this beautiful cottage."

Privately owned, but within the grounds of The Manor House Hotel, this lovely cottage was our base while visiting Wiltshire...and we loved it. It's only a few yards from the main hotel and also the two pub/restaurants in the small village itself. So great for anyone wanting a short walk in the evening for a drink. We ate at The Castle only once, which was ok, but there are much nicer restaurants just a few minutes drive away, including our favourite - The White Hart, Ford. We had 2 really good meals here, in very comfortable surroundings. We can also recommend The Biddestone Arms, where we sampled their award winnings pies...absolutely delicious!! The cottage itself is quite beautiful - with very comfortable furnishings, lovely bathrooms (2) and everything you need if you want to cook for yourself. The interior has been tastefully modernised, whilst retaining its charming and quaint cottage feel. It has a lovely terraced garden with comfortable seating for 'al fresco' dining - we spent many hours out here enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The owner - Barbara, gave us lots of information on places to visit, and recommendations on where to book for dinner - thank you Barbara. She was also keen to hear our views on our return, and grateful for the couple of suggestions we made. Highly recommended! \ Mrs Burke, June 2016

  • "This is a really lovely cottage in a fantastic location."

The Manor House hotel and village pubs are a couple of minutes walk away and the only noise you hear is the church bells. The cottage is beautiful inside and out and very luxurious. The bedrooms and bathrooms are particularly lovely. Castle Combe is a great base for visiting Tetbury, Cirencester, Lacock and the Aboretum. All in all, a great place to stay.

  • "Beautiful property and absolutely stunning location!"
