  • "Nice place to stay with amazing views over Bristol and everything that we needed was provided."

The bedrooms were a little dirty and the bunks in one room on the short side for adults. Needs to have a clearer description of location - as the Lodge is actually on the Bristol Glamping site. We drove past several times before realising, as only the sign for Bristol Glamping is visible from the road, not the buildings. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay.

  • "Location is fantastic base for exploring both Bristol and Somerset attractions, Wookey Hole, Yeo Valley etc, with Chew Valley Lake fairly near and free to explore with small parking fee."

The lodge kitchen, utility area, parking, security and bathrooms were great. All well equipped. However there isn't a single hook, rail, shelf etc to put clothing or towels, and a small drying rack would have been really useful. We struggled with the bunk beds which are really only sized for 2 small children and the mattress on the double felt new but really cheap. Bedding for the bunk above the double was not provided so we used our own but was not really great having 3 of us in a tiny room considering generous size of the lodge. However, the view is spectacular and we loved the telescope, firepit, outdoor seating and the map. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite leaving the evening before checkout (6 nights on the mattress was our limit) and would love to stay again, if we thought the mattresses had been improved.

  • "Lovely location with beautiful views, although the road is quite noisy."

This did not spoil our stay though. We were a group of 4 adults, the lodge is plenty big enough for 4 but the bunk beds are not suitable for adults as they are only about 5ft long. There are no drawers or wardrobes in the whole lodge so you do have to live out of your suitcase but we managed. Area is beautiful with lots to do. Met the caretaker on departure and she was lovely.

  • "As 3 NHS workers who needed a well earned break this Lodge was the perfect setting and we enjoyed it all, it was warm, very clean, and peaceful, so thank you a lovely stay."

  • "We had a lovely family holiday at the lodge with our 12 year old daughter and dog."

Amazing views over Bristol particularly at night! Small well kept, clean site with 3 glamping pods, the lodge, a small games room and parking. The lodge is set back slightly and didn't quite have the view but the lovely host allowed us to use the firepit and picnic bench outside a vacant pod. Lots of places to visit in the area. Will recommend Thank you

  • "I received a text the day before from the owner with details of the location and key collection, that was very useful."

The location is brilliant, with beautiful scenery overlooking Bristol. The games room which is in a separate building is a good place for the kids to pass time when I prepare to go out in the morning. I met the care taker who is very nice, she recommended some places to visit. I like The Lodge a lot, my kids love it. Will come to stay again!

  • "Brilliant spot and the owner was really helpful."

Lovely and clean and bedding and towels provided which was really great. WiFi wasn’t working but that certainly didn’t spoil our holiday! Brilliant views over Bristol on a clear night too. Thank you
