  • "A beautiful property with excellent facilities."

Ideally placed for trips to Bath etc and lots of local NT properties and gardens within a 10 to 20 mile radius. Downstairs wet room a particularly useful addition for me, as was the ability to top up my electric car on site.

  • "Excellent facilities."

A very comfortable bed but high. Difficult to put on socks as there was no chair and the bed was too high for me as I am only 5ft 2in. Marvellous location with easy access to many places and walking distance across fields to Corsham

  • "A suberb barn conversion with everything immaculately presented."

Excellent position for exploring Wiltshire and beyond and very close to local amenities but surrounded by countryside. Excellent hosts and the chocolate brownies are delicious!! Very well recommended, especially the wet room for ease of showering for those with mobility difficulties. Thank you Gillie and Steve for a lovely relaxed and easy stay.

  • "Chequers barn cottage is fantastic, Gillie and Steve are really helpful and friendly."

The brownies on arrival were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this cottage. The cottage is really well thought out in design, very comfortable with all you could need. The only issue we had was with Sykes trying to charge £30 admin fee to extend the stay by one night.

  • "We had a very comfortable stay in the Chequers Barn - the owners, Gillie and Steve, have done a great job converting the building into holiday accommodation and they offered a lovely welcome, It is situated on a busy road but that is made clear in the property description."

The location is excellent for getting out to explore the local area and the owners provide a pack of information about that. We especially liked the walk across the fields into the pretty old village of Corsham with it’s olde worlde pub The Flemish Weaver!

  • "Chequers Barn is very well appointed and comfortable accommodation."

Everything is to a high standard. We had a lovely welcome from Gillie, the owner, who was very obliging and who showed us round the accommodation. There are good information and instruction manuals for the appliances and plenty of details about local amenities. The accommodation is by a major A road, but we didn’t really notice the sound of the traffic. This fact also makes it very handy for getting around the local area. We would definitely recommend Chequers Barn.

The cottage was great, clean, plenty of space and is in a great location. The garden was great and the extra field was perfect to walk around. I would definitely recommend this cottage, fantastic first family holiday, couldnt ask for more.

Ideally placed for travel to many beautiful locations. We really enjoyed ourselves. The cottage has excellent facilities including large outdoor spaces to enjoy in the sun. Gilly is a generous and friendly host and the electric car charger made life so much easier for us. Would definitely recommend to others.

  • "It was a fantastic stay."

Our hosts are a lovely family and made sure that everything was tip top for us. The accommodation is fantastic. A really beautiful and spacious annex fitted out to a very high specification. All of the photos on the site are accurate as it is immaculate. Both my wife and I had to work whilst staying here and the internet worked extremely well for both of us (and our son). The grounds around the property are fantastic and we were lucky enough to enjoy some sunny days in the garden. It's well located and easy to find with plenty of parking. I would highly recommend the accommodation to anyone looking to stay in the area. Craig, Claire & Jack
