The property

This single-storey annexe property sits within the grounds of the owner's home and is surrounded by picturesque countryside in the charming village of Pewsey, Wiltshire.

Vale Lodge provides high quality accommodation for a couple or small group who wish to explore the outstanding natural beauty of the Vale of Pewsey, part of the North Wessex Downs AONB.

Park your car in one of two off-road parking spaces, before making your way to the property via a paved path leading to the private courtyard entrance.

Once inside you’ll find a contemporary, open plan living space, benefitting from under floor heating in the main living area and vaulted ceilings with Velux windows that flood the space with light.

Relax on the L-shaped sofa in the seating area and enjoy your favourite shows on the wall mounted TV, gather together for a group dinner at the built-in dining table, lovingly prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, filled with quality integrated appliances and ample storage space.

There is a loft style ladder that can be fixed to rails and leads up to an additional mezzanine seating area.

Perfect for escaping with a good book, enjoying some quiet time and taking in the stunning views through the circular feature window.

There are two bedrooms one with a king-size bed and the second a double, with shared use of the modern shower room.

A wonderful feature of this property is its spacious and enclosed private garden with a good size patio and generous lawn accessed directly from the property.

In addition there is access, via a spiral staircase to a roof terrace, here you can soak up panoramic views of the surrounding area.

The village of Pewsey is a couple of minutes drive away with everything you’ll need for essential shopping, including a good sized supermarket, chemist, Post Office, bakery and main line station.

It is well served with several pubs, cafes and restaurants, along with many more to explore in the neighbouring villages and in the nearby market town of Marlborough.

The village and local area is seeped in Neolithic history with many fascinating landmarks and places to visit.

From the village you can access the Kennet & Avon Canal, the Pewsey White Horse and many public footpaths.

Within a short distance are Stonehenge, Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and the Alton Barnes White Horse.

Nearby market towns include Marlborough and Devizes with the larger cities of Salisbury and Bath easily accessible.

Visitors can look forward to exploring the surrounding landscapes, studded with pretty and unspoilt villages to enjoy, as well as a wealth of opportunities upon the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including walking, cycling and horse riding.
