The Lodge is a beautifully renovated property which comfortably sleeps 5 (3 were teenagers). The property is clean, luxurious and well maintained. It offers many home comforts. We were welcomed to the property with a welcome hamper containing basic essentials of local produce (the ale was extremely tasty). The hamper included doggy treats as this accommodation welcome well behaved pets. Pets aren’t allowed on the soft furnishings which we appreciated. Contact with the property manager prior to our arrival was much appreciated as other facilities were available with prior arrangements such as tennis, horse ridding (experienced riders), local ‘taxi service’ and baby sitting service. The only facilities which we used were the tennis courts. The other facilities although useful to many were of no benefit to us.The information folder provided about the property was extremely useful as it informed us of the whereabouts of local supermarkets for other essentials needed and suggested take out facilities available locally. The property is ideally situated for exploring the many historic sites in Wiltshire. I would whole heartedly recommend The Lodge as a holiday property.
