Comfortable, clean and spacious. Good location - an easy drive to Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Cheddar etc. Owners are a pleasant couple. Will recommend to others.

"We really enjoyed our stay."
The accommodation was perfect - very comfortable and had everything we needed, even a Nespresso machine. The weather made it though and we made full use of the terrace. We enjoyed a daily stroll to Chew Moos to get fresh milk and had some of their wonderful ice cream although sadly the ice cream parlour is only open Fridays and Saturdays. We also walked to the Carpenters Tavern and had a very enjoyable meal. The pub is a little run down and not very busy but the staff are friendly, the food is great and there's alcohol so what more do you need! Dundry is in a great location, with many attractions within a 30 min drive. We had lovely days out to Clevedon, Bristol, Bath, Shepton Mallet Prison, Wookey Hole and a drive around Cheddar Gorge. Just be careful when driving down the many narrow country lanes if you're not used to them. The airport is close by so planes do fly overhead but that didn't bother us in the slightest and overall Oolitic offers a very peaceful and relaxing stay.

"We chose this accommodation as it was near Park and Ride 's for Bristol and Bath and were so pleased that we did."
Several effortless journeys during the week and we were able to use our bus passes too! Tyntesfield was close by as well as the coast , so we ended up having a really great holiday . The accommodation was excellent and one of the best equipped we have stayed in for a while.

"The only thing that comes to mind is that we had to look for the entrance to the property as Satnav got us so far but the property needs a sign at the gate."

"No "little extras" which are such a lovely touch of Sykes Cottages."
Very disappointed no washing machine with recommended laundry a VERY long way from the cottage.

"The owners were very helpful and gave excellent directions for a property tucked away and not easy to find."
-
"Excellent facilities, hospitable owners, quiet, rural yet easy commute to Bristol and the fishing waters."
-
"Owners chris and cyn were very friendly and approachable."
property was well situated for the visits we wished to make and comfortable to stay in.

"Accommodation very good and owners helpful."
Shame there was no view from property (as you could see the whole of Bristol below from further along the road, and from a bench in the garden). Eggs from their hens brilliant! In a good position for Bath/Bristol/Wells and Glastonbury, which is where we went. Perhaps a larger sign on the gate post might be useful - I found it OK, but my friend drove past it. Would come again, but I know that Sykes Cottages are of a very high standard, and I would like to try another one next time!

"We've been to the cottage before, which in itself is a good recommendation."
However, people should note that the cottage is on the flight path for Bristol airport, with flights starting not that long after 6.00am. We didn't notice this on our previous visit, so maybe the flight routing has changed. Could also do with some light weight bedding for the hotter nights.
