"Spacious for two people."
Clean. Easy to find. 8.30am to 9.30 am and 6pm to 6.30 pm severe drop in cold water pressure due to farm operation made using the shower impossible. At other times the shower pressure was feeble. This was in the details on site but NOT made clear in online booking description.
Sykes say they have spoken to the owner. No basics like salt, pepper, sugar . 1 toilet roll. Inside calm and pleasant, outside area very basic plus road noise but plenty of dogs and horses and located next to large farm buildings with fields to the rear. Owner unsympathetic about the lack of water pressure saying, “ Welcome to the pleasures of the countryside” .
The water pressure drop is only occasional and due to our herd of dairy cows needing a drink! It only happens when they are on certain areas of the farm. The times are printed in the folder and mostly, when on holiday, it is easy to work around this. Sadly, due to pressures, our cows will probably soon be gone. This property has been a holiday let for a number of years with good reviews and no complaints about the water pressure. And, as I said, it is the joys of the countryside! You will never please all of the people all of the time, but with an all time score of 95/100 we must be doing something right!

"A very comfortable, spacious, well equipped cottage on a dairy farm, surrounded by fields and stables."
Delightful friendly dogs who entertained us during our stay. Good wifi. Quiet location up a long drive away from the road. Safe parking. Very friendly owners and four-legged stable occupants.
There is a spiral staircase to access the upstairs as shown in the photographs. The cottage is accessed via a drive off the main road. (not off Monkey Lane) as I gleaned from the O/S map, (my fault).

We loved Lacock, Stonehenge, Clanger Wood, Courts Gardens, Stourhead and many more places.
The cottage was comfortable and had most things to hand. The tv was a good size and the sofa and beds were comfy.

"Had a great holiday, the accommodation was perfect although the bed was harder than what we are used to, but that is just our opinion."
The owners very friendly but not at all in your face. The location was good for us as we have family in the county. If however it's a sight seeing break that is needed, then Rode Farm is perfect.

Although listed as a cattle farm, which it primarily is, they also have racehorses stabled there, which the owners will allow you to stroke when they are in their stables.

Only possible improvement would be somewhere to walk but appreciate that this would be difficult on a working farm.

Thank you so much for your feedback, apologies for the missing firelighters, an oversight by myself. Radiators do get checked but perhaps not often enough, it will be noted. So glad you enjoyed your stay, hope to welcome you again. Regards Sarah (Property owner)

The canal locks were a real bonus for us as was BNath and Trowbridge. We would love to return.
