  • “Very nice barn conversion, well ...”
Very nice barn conversion, well equipped kitchen, living room and bedrooms. My only problem was the bed is to small it should be a king size.

The property

Rowde 1.8 miles.

A contemporary, single-storey barn conversion, situated in the grounds of the owner’s farmhouse, peacefully tucked away off the beaten track in rural West Wiltshire, close to the villages of Rowde and Bromham and only 4 miles from Devizes.

The stylish barn has been converted to a very high standard boasting a wealth of exposed beams in the vaulted ceiling over the impressive sitting/dining room, whilst the modern fitted kitchen offers everything you need to create delicious meals for your hungry group!

Also on the ground floor are two gorgeous bedrooms each with their own en-suite facilities.

Not far away, take a stroll or cycle along the towpath of the peaceful Kennet and Avon Canal, where you can watch the narrow boats lazily chug their way towards the incredible Caen Hill flight of 29 locks, now an Historic England Scheduled Monument.

Nearby, Devizes offers visitors a wide selection of inns, restaurants and shops, as well as its colourful weekly market, selling everything from antiques to fresh meat and veg.

Alternatively, venture along the canal on one of the regular boat trips.

A little further afield, visit the grand country houses of Bowood and Longleat, or take a day out to picturesque Lacock village and Abbey, which has often been used as a film location and has appeared in Cranford, Harry Potter, Wolf Hall and Downton Abbey to name but a few.

The splendid cities of Bath and Salisbury, as well as Stonehenge, are all easily accessible.

This really is a superb get-away from it all holiday location, yet within easy reach of plenty of interesting places at any time of the year.
