  • "We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in this pretty cottage with a very well maintained garden in a picturesque quiet village."

We were spending a long family weekend to celebrate two of our birthdays, so we ate out a lot! The location is great for local pubs - Kingham Plough and Kings Head, Bledington being our favourites and for lovely walks and visiting the Cotswold villages - well known and the smaller, quieter ones. The cottage suited us very well with comfortable beds and sofa, everything was well maintained and very clean, However, I would say perhaps the low door frames should have been mentioned (apologies if I missed that in the description) With all five of us being tall - three of our party ranging from 6'3 - 6'5, there were a few bumped heads during our stay, when forgetting to duck! However, all the room heights were fortunately fine. Would highly recommend and great it is dog friendly too!

We're very pleased to hear you had a fun weekend celebrating and enjoying the many gastronomic delights that this area had to offer. Home Farm Cottage is indeed a beautiful property with many characterful features. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Will be back!"

Home Farm Cottage is gorgeous, in such a pretty hamlet with a big garden to boot. Other pluses? Decor out of Town & Country, beautiful bed linens, comfy mattresses, fluffy towels and fresh milk in the fridge. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds and is in such a lovely area - picture postcard pretty. And just ten minutes to Daylesford for their deliciousness. Also, don't miss the ancient Rollright stones at sunset, or Blenheim Palace either. #PerfectCottage

Thank you so much for this lovely review. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay at Home Farm Cottage and also made the most of the surrounding area with all the great places to visit in the Cotswolds. We look forward to welcoming you again. Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Don't rent this property, soiled carpets, whistling boiler and broken matresses."

All in all - its one to avoid.

Thank you for your feedback on Home Farm Cottage. We visited the property after you vacated and believe your review is inaccurate. The carpets (upstairs only) have a couple of spots on them, they are definitely not soiled. We have never received a complaint in relation to the boiler whistling. The boiler, located in the downstairs cloakroom, can make a slight sound when the heating first comes on but this is for a matter of seconds. We receive very positive reviews of the beds and upon checking the mattresses, they are not broken. Obviously we take your feedback onboard, however mattresses is a personal preference. • "Cottage was lovely as described and very central for exploring the area."

Only issues are no wardrobe space in the 2 smaller bedrooms to hang clothes and the outdoor seating was not comfortable to sit on with it being wood , rattan would be a good addition.A party of 6 would struggle with the wardrobe issue and we were a party of only 3.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay at Home Farm Cottage. We appreciate you bringing the issue of wardrobe space to our attention and will put your suggestions to the property owner. We're pleased that you enjoyed the cottage and were able to use the property as a great base to explore the lovely local area. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely, very quaint."

The garden was beautiful, a really lovely place to sit. We were a little surprised that there was a broken exercise bike in the front room and a couple of dead plants but other than that it was a great place to be.

Thank you for your feedback! We're so pleased that you enjoyed Home Farm Cottage and it's gorgeous garden. We are very sorry for the broken exercise bike and dead plants in the front room and do hope your stay was not disrupted by these items. We hope to see you return to Home Farm Cottage in the future. • "This cottage was fantastic."

Beautifully kept, and also in a beautiful location. We read lots of chat about the steep stairs in the property - which we didn't feel were steep at all. So don't let that put you off! Highly recommend it!

    The garden is lovely.

  • "The cottage was excellent, comfortable and with everything required."

Nice touch to have milk and biscuits available which were really appreciated. The stairs are steep but this was made clear in the information prior to booking and proved to be no problem for any in our party. The garden was great for children and dog alike. Great location. Several food stores available within easy reach. Good location for visits to Stratford and surrounding locations. Best day was spent at The Cotswolds Wildife Park which accommodated well behaved dogs. Will recommend to friends as well as being happy to stay again ourselves and indeed our grandchildren are already planning the next stay. Will also be recommending Sykes whose service from start to finish was second to none.

  • "The cottage was beautiful and very homely, we felt settled straight away."

The large enclosed garden was perfect for our children and dogs. The stairs in this property are steep and twisted which I think should be mentioned in the discription as this may be unsuitable for some guests.

  • "The cottage was very well equipped and in lovely surroundings."

The broken boiler and shower were dealt with very well by Stuart and we were very impressed with Amanda who supported and helped us a lot by finding Stuart quickly and he was very willing to help. Would suggest someone always checks heating is working before clients arrive. Also bedroom with two beds had a double duvet in a single duvet cover which made it very lumpy and uncomfortable.. otherwise we were very happy with the cottage and the facilities. Nicky Shapira
