  • "Unfortunately due to the new Omicron situation we made the prudent decision not to come to the UK from the US."

While we asked several times if we could work together to pay more and rebook for a future time it was denied. It is a bit insulting that our feedback is being requested when the property owner would not even acknowledge our request to rebook and pay an additional amount.

  • "Previous feedback said accessing the property was difficult, so before booking I called to check this had been resolved and assured it had."

NO! Finding the key safe was very difficult - needs a better description. Once found the fob for the garage was there but the key to the door to get back in from the quay side wasn't. Despite Sykes phoning & emailing the owner several times during our stay we never had the courtesy of a response. This means when returning to the property you have to come in through the garage - a pain & not particularly pleasant late at night. (We did have 2 extra keys which I never found what they were for.) The instructions said you entered the property from the garage using the farthest door away - wrong - it's the middle door, right next to your parking space. Clearer instructions on finding the property from the road would also have been helpful. Having said that, once inside the property it's very well appointed with comfortable settees & chair and comfortable beds. The beds though should be advertised as small doubles as are only 4 feet wide. WiFi coverage is good on the top floor, where lounge is, but virtually non-existent on the lower floor where bedrooms are. Usually when you rent a holiday place you're provided with instruction for everything - there were no instructions at all, including nothing on how to dispose of the rubbish, which we ended up leaving in bags in the kitchen. Fortunately everything was easy to operate, including the electric heating, which got the place warm quickly - important when you're having a late season break. There were many light bulbs missing - including the stairs, though that might be the fact one of the switches appears to be missing? Didn't mention this at time of staying as never got our previous, more important issue resolved. Would I rent this again - got to say - yes, because despite the niggles (hopefully most will be resolved before we go back), it is a lovely place, it's warm - will be even better in Summer with the balcony doors open, overlooking the water, it's comfortable & it's in a lovely location.

  • "This is a quite spacious and quiet apartment with great views over the docks."

It could have been a bit better appointed, but the apartment was nice and clean (although balcony was dirty, we did mention this to the cleaner). Location was good: finding the large designer outlet arcade on the quayside development was a major plus as well as all the little bars and restaurants. Pretty to see all the lights reflected in the water at night from the big apartment windows. Micro-brewery just down from the apartment. Well-placed for seeing Gloucester cathedral, Cheltenham, Symonds Yat (fabulous views and peregrines’ nests ) on Hereford border. Instructions on getting into the apartment very poor: we would have been stuck but a neighbouring resident helped us. Didn’t have fob for garage, code for getting into building was wrong and key to main door didn’t work. Parking was fine once we had found a way into the car park.

  • "Perfectly located apartment."

Had everything you needed. Only thing I would say is that the beds are very small, my husband fell out of it one night when he rolled over (I found it very funny)!
