  • "On the whole we were well satisfied with Badgers Den."

Some points needing attention however. The freezer compartment in the fridge was completely iced up and the separate freezer in the store cupboard beneath the stairs was unclean. Separately, the internet and password details were incorrect, but we were able to obtain them from the router.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at Badgers Den. We appreciate all feedback and will pass on your comments to the Housekeeper to action, if it hasn't been already. We hope you enjoyed the stay and we would love to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Love the location, the village, the estate with the stream and the property itself is exactly what we look for when we seek a weekend out of London."

However, the mattresses were too soft and the lack of proper curtains or blinds bothered us. We don’t need total black outs but the current curtains don’t even cover the windows. Also, not major but I found the water pressure a bit weak. If the first two were improved I’d definitely come back

What a lovely constructive review, we are pleased to hear you loved the location, it really is a beautiful part of the county from which to explore. We will forward your comments in relation to the mattresses and blinds onto the property owner for consideration. With best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Our booked cottage was cancelled 3 days before our visit causing a lot of stress and hours on the phone with Sykes to arrange a rehousing."

Our new house was a 6pm check in and 10am checkout - it does not take 8 hours to clean a tiny cottage! The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The cottage is located in a beautiful quiet setting in a delightful Cotswold village with a nice pub and coffee shop. However, the downstairs bathroom stank and the owners brought an air freshener for us although this did not solve the problem. We stayed on one of the hottest weekends and the boiler was broken so the heating came on very high both nights causing the temperature to be unbearably hot upstairs and unsafe for our two young babies. The owners apologised but this was not fixed. This property should not have been let out with a broken boiler.

  • "The cottage was very nice only small issues were upstairs shower lacked pressure and downstairs bathroom sink leaks into the cupboard below."

The dishwasher was not big enough for the plates provided and sometimes did not clean effectively but this was no big issue. Please do not take this as a gripe merely minor points to note. Otherwise lovely cottage with nice decor and well equipped.

Many thanks for taking the time to feedback on your stay at Badgers Den. We appreciate you bringing these things to our attention as we can now rectify for future guests. In future, you may call us with any issues and we will be happy to come and rectify there and then to ensure the most enjoyable stay for you. We're pleased that you enjoyed your time in the cottage and would love to welcome you back again one day! Property Owner
