  • "This was a wonderful cottage in which to stay."

Really "a home away from home!!!" I would recommend this cottage to any family who wants a safe place to stay while visiting the area, and the Cotswolds.

Thank you for your lovely review. Property Owner

  • "Good points excellent location with excellent facilities at the cottage."

However, there were two issues regarding the shower. On arrival found the shower door bottom runners were not located in the track, informed the owner and was rectified same day. From the second day the shower tripped out after about two minutes, and got progressively worse tripping out after a few seconds of operation. Informed the owner on the Wednesday, she advised she would look at the shower and keep me informed by text message. Despite living next door the owner never contacted us again. We had no idea if the shower was going to be repaired during our stay. It was not possible for my wife to climb in and out of the bath due to a hip replacement; she needed the use of a shower, as did we all. A shower is an essential feature of everyday living. It was very disappointing, not even receiving an apology or any feed back, spoiling the majority of our stay. The owner should have in place access to emergency trades, such as plumbers, electricians etc; for events such as this.

  • "A beautiful place very close to Gloucester."

It has all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and there is lots of hanging space. The bathroom was large and we loved the large roll top bath. The kitchen was equipped with everything a family would need to cook a good meal. The lounge was large and comfortable and had good Wi-Fi. Only thing that could improve my he Little Noo which only applies to those staying a good while would be an outdoor washing line, but that was purely because we were working away and needed to wash clothes. All in all a great stay and we would certainly return again.

  • "Little Noo is a very comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage."

The owners have thought of everything you might possibly need whilst away from home and the addition of lots of games and toys was a huge bonus when travelling with young children. The only thing we would change is the curtains in the back bedrooms, as they don’t so much to keep out the light.

  • "We needed somewhere local to stay with our children at very short notice due to a problem with renovations at home."

Little Noo was perfect and far exceeded our expectations. It is very comfortable and in a stormy week incredibly cosy. I know the area (living a few miles down the road!) and it is very well placed for local amenities and countryside walks. The kitchen is amazing and the Aga a whole new experience in cooking. Best of all there's a proper pantry! There was ample space for a family of five throughout the cottage and it also felt very private. The beds are very comfortable (in contrast to many rentals I've stayed in!) as are the sofas. There are also lots of little touches that show you how well cared for Little Noo is. Highly recommended - thank you Lee!

  • "Little Noo was the perfect short break for our family."

The house was in good order with everything we needed. One very personal touch was to enquire about our party in advance and make the bunk bed bedding age and gender appropriate for our children which delighted our daughter. The property was well placed to explore Gloucester and Cirencester and also provided a base to visit friends in Bristol. Thanks to Lee for making a very comfortable stay for us.

  • "The cottage was well placed for trips to the places we wished to visit."

It is in a quiet Village with Post office and small store. The cottage was a good size for our party with good amenities. Local pub sold nice food. Would return again if in this area.

  • "The property was beautiful very clean and very well equipped and very comfortable."

The house was decorated to a high standard and the gardens both front and back were really well kept. Any one with children would have found that they were well catered for with books, games and toys. The Aga stove was a bit of a challenge to my wife but she mastered it very quickly. Some nice walks in the area which can be found in the local website. A map of the area would be required to any one who enjoys walking as there are so many footpaths.

  • "We booked to stay at Little Noo in Upton St Leonards to visit family after being separated due to Covid restrictions."

Little Noo was equipped with so many thoughtful personal touches, such as children’s toys, games, and the kitchen had everything you needed, above and beyond what you expect to be provided in a holiday let. It made it the perfect home from home for us at a time when we are unable to stay with family. My husband’s highlight was the Aga and he enjoyed making cooked breakfasts and dinners using local produce from the lovely Portway Farmshop. Ensure you check out the welcome book for details and lots of things other local recommendations! We will be recommending to our friends and family for sure. Thanks for everything Lee!

  • "This is a very pleasant house (although called "Little Noo" and described as a cottage it's actually very spacious), beautifully presented and very comfortable."

Everything worked well - Wifi was fast and (despite the note in the listing) seemed to cover most of the house, the heating worked well, the shower was good, and the private parking was right outside the front gate. Furnishings were good quality and comfortable, and the kitchen (with a working Aga) was very well equipped. All round five stars!

The reality massively exceeded the photos and descriptions online - there was even a bed guard we could use for our child's bed (we brought our own as we didn't realise this). A huge selection of toys, books and DVDs kept us all happy at rainy/quiet times and we had some lovely trips around the area to Robinswood Hill Country Park (highly recommended for great walks, fun slide and fantastic views at the top of the hill), Slimbridge Wetland Centre and Gloucester including the cathedral, Beatrix Potter shop and National Waterways Museum.

There is everything you could possible need, regarding kitchen equipment, or entertainment for children or adults. We had no problem with the internet throughout the house. I would be remiss not to mention, that the Aga has to stay on all the time, if you need it for cooking, we had it switched down by the owner's because it was to hot in the bedrooms. Lovely holiday in the cottage, just to mention that there is no shop in the village, but Morrison's is about 10 minutes away.
