  • "Perfect location for a nice peaceful break in a small town."

Lovely cottage, beautiful kitchen stocked with everything you could need. Nice bathroom & cosy bedrooms. Definitely go to the chip shed for fish & chips! You will need a car to get around & make sure to check out the nearby town of Nailsworth. Watch out for the cows that roam freely! Had a great time, recommended for sure!

  • "Delightful cottage to spend a week - full of character and sparkling clean."

Lovely walled garden too for our children to safely play. The village is just gorgeous and has stunning walks straight from the cottage, which we really enjoyed.

  • "Amazing cottage located in Minchinhampton."

Local shop owners are very friendly! No on sight parking however there is parking only a minute or 2 away.

  • "Beautiful cottage in idyllic setting."

We loved our walks over the common with the cows and horses roaming freely. The house was full of character and super cosy with a mix of old and modern features! We loved the thoughtful gifts of truffles and cake and overall the house had everything we needed. All in all a great stay!

  • "First stay after lock-down - and we were welcomed with open arms by the community of Minchinhampton - the tea rooms, butcher, diary, the chip shed and Crown Inn as well as the dog walkers on the wonderful 600 acres of NT Common - really a unique place with great views and laid-back free-range animals."

    A wonderful discovery for us.

  • "Great location, right in the centre of the village."

Had a great stay and would love to go back one day. Sad to have to leave at the end of the holiday.

  • "Had a lovely stay in Little Culver."

All was as advertised - plenty of space for 5 people, very comfortable and stylish. Loved the original features of the house. Thoughtful touches like chocolates and biscuits on arrival were appreciated and the key safe made our arrival stress-free as travelling from London. Would definitely stay again if travelling to the Cotswolds.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Little Culver for a long weekend, and the cottage is perfect for a weekend get away."

Lots of stunning, long walks around the common, and a nice log fire to come back and enjoy in the evenings. The garden is lovely for enjoying a cup of tea in the sunshine and we will hopefully be back again soon!

    RachelMar 2020

  • "We would really recommend a stay at Little Culvert - the house is lovely, good size, nice outdoor space and really well equipped."

We also loved the local area - fantastic butchers and dairy within 2-3 mins walking distance as well as lots of great places to run, walk and cycle (such as Minchinhampton Common just a five minute walk up the road). We're looking forward to going back to the area in the future.

    SarahMar 2020

A great break from the city with family!

    SkyeFeb 2020

  • "Beautiful place in the Cotswolds."

Very charming, and spacious enough for our family of 5. We would definitely go back.

  • "The perfect pad to explore the Cotswolds, set in a cute little village."

Loved the treats and the garden was so beautiful to sit in and enjoy the rest of the British summer.

    LeoAug 2019

  • "A beautiful house In the quiet quintessential English village of Minchinhampton."

We rocked up with 5 people and found there to be plenty of room for everyone. The Garden was well kept and a really chilled out place to hangout in the sunshine. No negative comments here! The one thing I would say is to bring cash with you because many of the local establishments don’t take cards.

  • "Lovely place, deserves a 5 star rating as could not fault it in any way."

Very much appreciated the extra touches. The weather was wet almost the entire week, but the cottage was so comfortable it didn’t matter, it was a luxury just being there. Would love to go back. Will highly recommend.

  • "Wonderful week with family and friends."

A true home away from home and an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. Thank you!

    RosieMay 2019

  • "Little Culver was perfect for a short break, it was lovely to be able to walk to get everything that we needed as the weather was horrible!"

The cottage is really well equipped, we particularly appreciated that the kitchen equipment is of very good quality which is great if you are keen cooks. The surrounding area is lovely, lots and lots to see and do, but we mostly sat by the fire! Particularly recommend the Jolly Nice farm shop, great produce and also have firewood and food to take away. Keri

  • "Really wonderful stay I couldn’t recommend it more, amazing house with wonderful decor, all the amenities that you could need and want."

Amazing quality linen, furniture and welcome notes and suggestions to help you feel immediately at home. Well done on the best ‘home away’ that we have ever stayed in! Ps The Kitchen cafe was amazing for breakfast the Irish lady was fab, the butchers also very affordable (cheaper than a supermarket in my eyes). Henry’s was closed but looked lovely. One of the nicest and most original towns of those locally. Glad we stayed here!

  • "Thanks for everything it was an amazing stay."

    BenSep 2018

  • "What a fabulous place to say!"

Minchinhampton is such a gorgeous place with friendly locals and incredible cafe called The Kitchen and lovely walks in the common! I highly recommend and we really loved using the fireplace!

    CampbellSep 2018

  • "Great place to stay - pretty location though not many attractions in the village itself."

Plenty to do within a short car journey. The cottage is very well stocked, attractive property - we loved the old windows. A slightly later check-out time would be appreciated though!

The property

Little Culver is a stunning and unique Cotswold stone property, built in 1821, forming the right-hand of a beautiful castellated Grade II listed building, Culver Cottage, nestled in Minchinhampton.

The property has been lovingly refurbished internally, whilst retaining its character features, and is a perfect base for a family or group of friends seeking a relaxing break in the stunning Cotswolds.

As you approach the property, you will marvel at the stunning architecture and gothic style windows as you walk through the ornate arched doorway, into the shared lobby, and through the front door of Little Culver, which opens into a beautiful and spacious sitting room adorned with antique maps and artwork, with welcoming seating for you and your loved ones to snuggle into on a cold evening, watching your favourite TV show whilst the warmth from the woodburning stove keeps the room toasty.

Further into the property you will find the stylish and contemporary kitchen/diner that overlooks the back garden and contains everything the budding chef requires to coo up a delicious meal as you all retreat around the large dining table to enjoy your food.

A handy utility room is accessed from the garden and contains a washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for making use of so you can go home with a bag full of clean washing, as well as a basin and WC.

The enclosed courtyard garden catches the afternoon sun and has inviting seating as well as a chiminea and charcoal barbecue to make use of in summer months.

Heading upstairs, the master bedroom is full of character and has lovely views overlooking the garden containing a double bed, the second and third bedrooms are perfect for children and contain twin beds and a single bed.

Completing the property is a lovely bathroom where you can enjoy a relaxing soak amongst the bubbles in the bath.

At Little Culver, you are situated close to amenities such as The Crown Inn pub as well as a village shop, a post office, an independent butcher, and two well-regarded cafés, Henry’s and The Kitchen, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading to either of the vibrant market towns of Nailsworth and Stroud where you will find a wide range of things to do including the beautiful Sladebank Woods in Stroud and Woodchester Mansion and Park in Nailsworth.

Little Culver is also well located for visiting the spa town of Bath, where you can take a tour of the famous Roman Baths which are well-preserved thermae, a temple constructed on the site between 60-70AD in the first few decades of Roman Britain – a very educational and interesting day out for all, where you can finish your day with a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants Bath has to offer.

For an unforgettable holiday, stay at Little Culver.
