The property

Twixt Cottage boasts a fantastic cottage, in the tranquil country surroundings and situated on the outskirts of the village of Bream, Gloucestershire.

This lovely forest cottage offers welcoming holiday accommodation, conveniently located to enjoy the delights on offer in the beautiful Forest of Dean.

Internally, the property boasts wonderful modern furnishings and appliances, with a period cottage decor, giving a taste of the countryside.

The sitting room offers a woodburning stove, which is sure to keep you warm during those chilly winter months.

You can enjoy a relaxing evening together as a family and take advantage of the provided DVD player and bring all your favourite film classics to watch.

Step through to the kitchen, with its wooden units and on-hand appliances to help you cook up a storm for the whole family.

The dining area has seating for up to four people and is a wonderful social space for playing games of an evening, or enjoying a lovely home-cooked meal.

Escape from day to day life in the tranquil surroundings this cottage has to offer, in the charming village of Bream.

There are outdoor activities in abundance, endless footpaths bridleways and cycle tracks begin just yards from the front door.

With golf, canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing, which can all be found locally.

There are great places to visit with attractions such as Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Dean Forest Steam Railway, Dean Heritage Centre, Clearwell Caves and the Sculpture Trail, all ideal for couples or families.

The cathedral city of Hereford, Monmouth, Chepstow, Gloucester and the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye are all within a short drive.

Or if you would prefer, use it as base camp for the many outdoor activities the forest and surrounding areas has to offer.

This is an ideal location for you and your children as there are so many activities on offer from abseiling to horse riding, downhill or cross country mountain biking to name a few.

Maybe you could try a spot of fishing at one of the many local trout ponds or fish the River Wye for salmon.

Why not just take advantage of the forest on your doorstep, and return to the wonderful Twixt Cottage for a relaxing evening.

The pretty village of Bream offers magnificent views of the Royal Forest of Dean to the Cotswold Hills beyond. Clearwell with its ancient caves and eerie caverns and the village of St Briavels with its castle are also close by. The magnificent Royal Forest of Dean, England's largest oak forest, offers numerous trails that can be explored on foot, cycle or horseback. Caving, abseiling and a high wire rope course are for the more adventurous, whilst fishing, golf, kayaking and canoeing are other popular activities in this unspoilt area. Just a short drive away is the historic market town of Ross-on-Wye, with timbered Tudor houses, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants all in the heart of rural Herefordshire. This unspoilt area has something to offer all tastes at any time of the year.
