  • "A heartfelt thank you to the Nichols Family for sharing Hulls House with us."

They went out of their way from the outset to make our Christmas holiday ever so special. They had provided a welcome basket of necessities and installed a magical Christmas tree ready for our presents to be placed underneath. The atmosphere was very festive, comfortable and homely. We’d loved to come back in the summer to have a lovely meal in the garden. The fabulous kitchen was a highlight which hosted many memorable family moments. The location was excellent!

Thank you for this wonderful review. We're delighted you enjoyed Christmas at Hull's House and found it so comfortable. We would love to welcome you back in the summer. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

The location is brilliant for exploring the surrounding villages and for catching the train into Oxford and London. Apart from that everything else was perfect in the house , and the village was amazingly picturesque , but do book at the pub if you are planning to eat there,

  • "The cottage was lovely, in a beautiful village, the bedrooms were great and spacious."

It was strange having an bathroom for 2 rooms to share that the second room had to go through the first room to access it. We were all family but my sister was staying in that room and my husband in our room so it meant a bit of planning to ensure they didn't walk in on each other! The garden was nice but had no seating and it was lovely weather so we had to carry chairs outside and I asked a friend who was living nearby to bring us some camping chairs. The company arrived with garden furniture on our last day so it will be there for others but we missed out! The kitchen and laundry room were not very clean when we arrived. We had to clean the bins and the laundry room floor, some of the plates and glasses were also dirty. They could do with adding a coffee machine for a property this size and grading, its only £70 and it would be a very welcome addition. Also a bit more lighting around the dining table would be a good addition as its a dark space.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some constructive feedback. I'm so sorry you felt the clean wasn't up to standard. I can assure you we are going to make sure this property gets a deep clean as soon as possible and this is maintained. I will mention to the owner about a coffee machine as I also feel this is a good addition to have. We hope to be able to welcome you back again. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

Renovated to a high-quality to give the property a cool and contemporary feel, the history is still prevalent; look closely through the window of the extension where you'll spot the original date stone, stating 'purchased by Jonathan Hulls 1729, rebuilt by Richard Hulls 1829.' Cosy up with a sumptuous spot in front of the television in the snug seating area, warming your toes with the glow of the woodburning stove as you unwind following a day full of adventure.

Make your way through to the stylish green oak kitchen tucked away at the rear of the sociable space to share a bottle of wine with the designated chef with a seat at the elegant island as they make use of the range of modern amenities provided to prepare a selection of tasty treats for the group.

Gather together at the extendable dining table, with seating for up to eight guests, or throw open the patio doors and indulge in a spot of alfresco dining in the peaceful setting of your well-maintained garden; a lovely spot to soak in the last of the evening sun as the little ones keep themselves entertained with a movie marathon in the inviting sitting room.

The feeling of luxury continues as you rise to the first floor, home to two thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, a king-size and a double, alongside a gleaming shower room and a handy study should work call.

Climbing the stairs to the second floor, you'll be lost for words by the truly magnificent master suite, home to a sumptuous king-size bed and it's very own en-suite bathroom, boasting a spacious walk-in shower enclosure, twin basins and a jacuzzi bath, providing the perfect spot to pour in the bubbles and indulge in a luxurious soak as you escape into the pages of a captivating book.

Accessed via the master suite is the fourth and final bedroom, a snug twin room, ideal for sleepovers for the little ones.

Take a break from doing the cooking and treat your guests to a delicious homecooked meal in a quintessentially English setting at the award-winning local pub, The Baker's Arms.

A further stroll will bring you into the nearby town of Chipping Campden, one of the most traditional of Cotswolds towns, home to a wider variety of amenities including an array of pubs, cafes and restaurants along with a well-stocked convenience store, ideal for picking up any forgotten essentials.
