The property had all we needed for a comfortable few days. It was well equipped and everything was of a high quality and spotlessly clean. We would happily recommend a stay in The Honey Pot.

  • "The Honey Pot was a brilliant holiday cottage!"

We were greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely goodie bag and we felt immediately that it was like home from home. It was warm, cosy, well equipped and had beautiful views, overlooking the Severn estuary. From the quaint garden, all this could be seen, including Shetland ponies and donkeys and it also sports a hot tub for that extra luxurious touch! It was also well situated geographically to visit lots of nearby interesting sites. We had a lovely relaxing week there and would certainly highly recommend it.

As we pulled up Sue was there to meet us and show us around. We had planned to go to the shops for basics but no need ! Bread milk and wine were waiting ,nice touch. The hot tub was lovely and relaxing in the day and at night looking at the stars. You know it’s going to be a good stay when you can see yourself living there. All in all a perfect location for a perfect week. Would definitely look at going back in the near future. 10/10

The property is very pleasantly laid out, tastefully and comfortably furnished. It is very clean and in a good location to explore the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley to Monmouth as well as Chepstow and beyond into South Wales. Plenty of local walking possibilities. But the whole experience was enhanced by some extra surprising touches and the very pleasant owners living nearby.

Perfect place to relax and a good sized property for two people. There is everything you could possibly need (except for perhaps a tea cosy). The welcome gifts were very much appreciated. We were very grateful for the fact that the hot tub was undercover bearing in mind the weather was awful for July.

  • "Staying at the Honey Pot was a lovely experience."

The cottage was immaculately clean, well decorated, and felt very homely and cozy. There was good attention to detail, good facilities, we found we didn't have need for very much really. The owners were friendly and approachable and though it's an annexed property, you don't even know they're there. The cottage is off a busy main road but you really can't tell. You rarely hear the traffic. Good transport links by car to surrounding areas. We didn't use the hot tub on our stay but it is a nice addition to have. We went for a restful break and that's exactly what we got!

  • "The photos honestly don’t do this place justice, it is far more spacious and lovely, as well as having everything you need."

Fabulous secluded hot tub and garden, lovely views over the fields and River Severn, even though it is built onto the family house it was still very private. The Wi-Fi was a bit patchy but we weren’t using it much anyway. Very comfy huge bed, very spacious wet room and shower, loads of towels, robes and everything bit of kit you could possibly want in a kitchen. A washing machine might be useful but I’m really just being picky now. Nice farm shop about half a mile down the road, has lovely local produce including wine from local vineyards. Some of the little roads nearby are a bit hairy with not many passing places, so we tended to use the busier roads and go slightly further round to visit places. An absolutely cracking place to stay 10/10.

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Honeypot."

The place was spotlessly clean and so homely. The little touches made it just perfect, like toiletries, the welcome pack of milk, bread etc plus a bottle of wine and crisps! Also there were lots of clean towels plus bath robes for use with the hot tub. We had good communication with the owners. The cottage is in a quiet location with private parking and a lovely rear garden. We saw many birds, a rabbit, and bats on one evenings. The hot tub was great and just what we needed after a day walking in the Welsh hills. Would recommend and definitely return.

The cottage is very well equipped, very clean and comfortable and we felt at home as soon as we walked through the front door. The property is situated beside a main road so there is traffic noise (hence only 4 out of 5 stars overall) but that is the only drawback. It is conveniently located for exploring both the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. We enjoyed interesting walks from the guide books available in The Honey Pot. Would highly recommend.
