The lovely little village of Cambridge is very well situated, with excellent links for the Cotswolds. Slimbridge Wetlands is a very short drive, a reserve which exists to care for, and study, ducks and geese from around the world. Here, sixteen hides overlook the fields, streams and lakes bordering the River Severn and the canal, perfect for birdwatching. The Sloane Observation Tower gives far-reaching views to the Cotswolds in the east and the River Severn and Forest of Dean in the west. Also close by is the Cotswold Way, a canal for lovely walking and boat hire, and easy road access to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath. Cambridge has two great pubs serving food, and there are other pubs and a shop in nearby Slimbridge.
