• "Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped cottage in a quiet location just behind the High Street, so it is an easy stroll to the village eateries and shops."

  Great to have an off-road parking space, even for a large car; we recommend reversing in to it. Lovely outside garden space which we unfortunately could not make the most of due to inclement weather during our stay.

• "Our second stay at Bumble Cottage and it did not disappoint."

  A lovely welcome from the owners, and the cottage was as inviting and as comfortable as the first time.Everything is top quality, and provided with thought and care for a happy holiday. Comfy beds, super soft sofas, lovely clean kitchen and bathroom, games, books, big TV with more channels than you could ever watch in a week. This is a quiet oasis just off the interesting and bustling High Street with a real village feel. Spoilt for choice for eating, with good restaurants, pubs and cafes close by, but with none of the noise. A great base for walking and exploring the locality, with Trust and historic houses, gardens and sweet villages close by. Everything was just lovely. Thanks again to owners Louise and Mike, and also to the housekeeper, who keeps a gleaming house.

  It is a beautiful cottage so well presented and fully equipped with everything you might need and more! It was home from home. Lovely. • "The cottage was a delight for the two of us to stay in."

  It is perfectly placed, only a minute or two from the lovely High Street, with an array of shops, restaurants etc, yet is still very quiet. Reverse parking into the drive is recommended, but we have a large car and managed it without any problem. We received a reassuring and welcoming text message from the owners, prior to our arrival, and again after we had arrived. A full tea tray and biscuit jar were waiting for us, with chocs and wine cooling in the fridge. The cottage is lovingly furnished to a very high standard, with sofas to sink into, tasteful lamps and ornaments, and everywhere so fresh and clean. A bee theme running through the house, with little handmade soft toys dotted about, create a warm and cosy atmosphere, and illustrate the owners love for their cottage. Their attention to detail meant that we wanted for nothing, and we felt more like valued friends than guests. Thank you Louise and Mike for a wonderful stay……we couldn’t resist booking again for next year!

• "Bumble Cottage is a very nicely presented, well equipped and very clean property."

  We found the location to be excellent and a perfect centre for our week in the Cotswolds. We would have no hesitation in stopping here again and will recommend it to others. One really minor, petty point and peice of constructive criticism is that the kitchen knives were all very blunt and we struggled to slice tomatoes for example, but this is the result of having glass chopping boards, which take the edge off a knife straight away. If there was a knife sharpener I didn't spot it, so my recommendations are to add a knife sharpener or have wooden or polypropylene chopping boards.

• "Can’t say enough about this cottage."

  It is well situated with parking, is extremely clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Probably the nicest rental property we have ever stayed in. I will recommend to all my friends and hope to return.

• "Bumble Cottage was an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds and we cannot praise too highly the standard of decor and comfort the cottage afforded."

  Being just behind the High Street meant all the facilities were on the doorstep with an excellent range of coffee shops and restaurants. We would certainly stay again if we come back to the area.

• "We had a wonderful short break at Bumble Cottage."

  The cottage was extremely comfortable and kept us very cosy against Storm Eunice which was battering everything outside! The kitchen was modern and well equipped with everything we needed. Owners were very welcoming and offered to answer any queries during our stay, which was really helpful. Car parking was tight even for one small car, but road side parking was available during the evenings close by. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

• "The house was modern, clean and welcoming."

  Being only a minutes walk from the main high street was a bonus and very convenient for all the amenities that the village had to offer. On site parking was a bonus in such a central location, if a little tight to access. However additional parking was available in the cul de sac outside the house. We had a lovely stay but we’re disappointed that the tv could not access normal terrestrial television as it said there was a connection issue. However the owner kindly talked us through a method of accessing some live television through the BBC iplayer or ITV hub apps which meant we could watch the football and rugby. Other services were available eg Amazon Prime, Netflix etc but we did not have subscriptions to them. The property was well equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay and was generally very comfortable however whilst we knew the beds weren’t king sized we thought they were doubles ie 4ft 6” wide. The beds were infact only 4ft wide which means they are classified as a small double or 3/4 bed. In summary a lovely and well presented modern house in a superb location.

  Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you had a lovely stay in the Cotswolds and at our little cottage. This is a new venture for us and we have put everything we can into it to make it a home from home and to cater to as many people’s needs as possible. We managed to sort out the TV aerial, unfortunately it had become unplugged in the loft. The TV is an ultra modern SmartTV and has the Netflix, Amazon, Disney etc apps already installed, there is also unlimited high speed internet broadband WI-FI at the cottage for our guests to freely use. Unfortunately we do not provide a subscription service for extra TV entertainment services such as Netflix or Amazon, Customers would need to put in their own details if they have subscriptions. If access is required, we would happily provide it at extra cost. The beds are a lovely size for the bedrooms and as per the description and in one bedroom we are restricted on size because of the fitted wardrobes. We have taken onboard the great feedback from our guests, a new larger comfier quality memory foam mattress and bed for the slightly bigger bedroom has now been put in as of February 2022. This hopefully will bring even more comfort for our guests. We take on board any queries, questions, advice and act on them to the best of our abilities as we want our guests to be happy and enjoy their stay. Property Owner

  The place was easy to find and in a perfect position to go out and explore Chipping Campden. The cottage itself was warm, cosy and well equipped (this was our 1st break with our baby so we were very apprehensive) but we had everything we needed and more! We would happily stay again!

• "We had a wonderful stay in Bumble Cottage."

  Such a fantastic location, set in the heart of such a pretty village. The cottage was so well kitted out for us all, and we felt at home straight away. We could tell that the place was so well looked after and a lot of consideration had been made for their guests. Very clean and well kept, will definitely be recommending to friends. • "The property was well equipped and in a good location for the area."

  One thing however is that we found the beds rather small and would have expected at least one king size bed perhaps in the main bedroom. As you are aware we did experience disruption from Thames Water Authority immediately outside of the property from mid week onwards, which we had previously been advised by yourselves had already been completed. This made a rather disruptive and inconvenient end to what had been up to that point a nice well earned break. Despite your assurance that someone would get back to me last Wednesday 20th October, with an update on how long the work was going to take, I am still waiting for that call. This is not the service I expect from a leading holiday rental provider and am very disappointed with this level of customer service.

  Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay at Bumble Cottage. We're sorry that you found the beds to be on the smaller side for you personally. We do specify bed sizes in the property listing to ensure our guests know exactly what to expect, as there are 2x double beds and 1x single bed for our guests. As of February 2022 a new larger bed with a high quality and super comfy memory foam mattress has been installed in the largest bedroom, to further improve the comfort of our guests. We're also sorry to hear that your stay was disrupted by works being carried out by Thames Water, which is something totally outside the control of the owners and holiday management agent. The owner of the property spent hours on the phone to Thames Water to try and get to the bottom of things for you. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of further works taking place in the area and, whilst this was completely out of our hands, we're sorry for the impact this must have had on your break. It's great to know that the property itself was well equipped and suited to your requirements! Property Owner

• "Cottage A delightful cottage adjacent to Chipping Campden High Street."

  An excellent base for exploring the town and the large area of the Cotswolds, while staying in a cosy well equipped home from home. The personal touches to the cottage are lovely and very much appreciated. Very quiet and relaxing. We visited Blenheim Palace and Stratford upon Avon, along with scenic drives around the - too many to mention - picture perfect towns and villages in the area. Stopping at several on the way. Many choices within walking distance and beyond for a restaurant meal, a pub lunch or afternoon tea. Many thanks for a very comfortable stay. The Ralph family

• "We were very honoured to be your first guests at Bumble Cottage and we had a really lovely stay!"

  We loved all the attention to detail in the cottage and the location is brilliant. Chipping Campden is one of the most picturesque villages I’ve seen and well placed for Stratford-Upon-Avon and Warwick Castle and many more brilliant tourist attractions.
