  • "This is a fabulous comfy and spacious 5 bedroomed property, ideal for families and friends to get together."

2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a further family bathroom. The house was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The host left a fabulous welcome gift of croissants' and wine. They also provided a very comprehensive folder of information about the house and the local area, this was very useful

Thank you Jennifer I'm glad you had a nice break and enjoyed the birthday celebrations. Also thank you for leaving the place in such good order, appreciated. You're welcome back anytime. Paul & Louise. Property Owner

  • "Clean, comfortable and very spacious."

Well equipped, good bedding and plentiful towels. Lovely area and lots of information left by the owners of things to do in the area and recommendations for eating and shopping. We loved the house and would very happily return.

Thank you Alizon. Glad you had a good week and hope to welcome you again. Regards Paul & Louise. Property Owner

  • "Lovely big comfy property."

A tremendous amount of kitchen/dining equipment . Only problem really was the size and power of the shower units. The property itself shone out like a beacon in its surroundings.

Hi Peter Thanks for your feedback. I'm a bit confused when you criticise the showers. The two stand alone showers are standard size and standard electric showers. You are the first person to point out there may be an issue. I've stayed in many hotels where the showers may have a large area to stand in (in a room with no bath), but the power of the shower is poor, ie water saving shower heads. We supply our phone number and try to be available for any problems that inevitably occur, however we never received a call. I do appreciate that some guests have different expectations than others, this is natural, however we are not a high level hotel and do not charge as such. I'll be honest, the scores you gave are a little disappointing, but they're your honest views so fair enough. Regards Paul and Louise Property Owner

The 3 of us had lots of room to spread out! The owner, Paul, sorted out our only problem very quickly, thank you. Lots of interesting places to visit, especially Gloucester and its Cathedral and the wonderful Forest! Thank you for the welcome gift and I would definitely recommend this cottage and the area.

Thank You Sandra Glad you all had a lovely time and used our house as the base for your holiday. Love to welcome you if you ever come back our way. Regards Paul & Louise. Property Owner

  • "The phone number I was given from Skye for contacting the owner was different to the one the owner had put in the book at the house."

The message I sent (twice) to Skye regarding the EV charger being on and the king size bed being made up as separate wasn't passed onto the owner. It was a lovely, well equipped house

Hi Caroline Sorry that your initial messages about the bed arrangements were not communicated to us. However I am glad that you managed to split the one bed yourself and we got your EV charged up. Thank you for your other kind comments and hope you had a nice stay withstanding the above. I had booked it for my mums 70th birthday but she didn’t know that I would be coming with my family and my brother and his girlfriend were also coming. My mum had a lovely surprise when we turned up. The house is simply beautiful and very comfortable. A real home from home. Paul and Louise were very accommodating and left a beautiful welcome gift on arrival. Would absolutely recommend.

  • "Thanks for the welcome goodies!"

We had a very comfortable stay and were pleased to be able to invite family over for Sunday lunch without this breaking any rules. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but could do with the addition of a large deep roasting tin. Particularly enjoyable, was the balcony accessed from the lounge and overlooking the Forest of Dean. A nice, dog friendly, family oriented home and a great venue for multiple games of hide and seek.

Thanks Elizabeth Glad you enjoyed your stay and had some quality time with friends and family. . Will get that roasting tin on order. Regards Paul and Louise Property Owner
