"The house was lovely, a good size for our family stay."
We had a a problem with the TV - we assumed a remote control was missing. It was a little tricky getting through to someone (though they were lovely when we did chat) and the issue was not resolved as we were busy all day and were not able to check until 5pm on Saturday eve ( we tried calling again later, but no-one answered from the office so we gave up). The Alexa in the kitchen was ok - but struggled to find radio stations. The kitchen was beautifully stocked with utensils, great oven, sharp knives (a first for a holiday cottage and very much appreciated!) which allowed us to enjoy family time cooking together.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely feedback, we are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and made use of the facilities available. We will ask our maintenance guy to go and have a look straight away at the TV and Alexa connection. we look forward to welcoming you again soon. Property Owner

"Love Aelia Cottage, our 3rd time of staying here."
Perfect location and great space. Our only issue is that the check in time is very late, especially when you have young children, a consideration regards this would be appreciated for any future stays.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a feedback, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay, regarding the late check in time, due to covid and the more than normal cleaning that we do between bookings, it tends to take longer, hopefully things will get better when covid is gone for good. We look forward to welcoming you again soon Property Owner

"Aelia cottage is in a great location for the town centre to visit the shops, Corinium museum, parks and general wandering but parking is a bit of an issue at times although we managed most days after a few trips around the block!"
! The cottage is great but some more guidance for the heating would be great as it was so hot on our first night, we were boiling in our beds!! However the beds are so comfy and cosy, we soon slept soundly. The kitchen makes great use of the space and the dining area is light and airy. My 6 year old loved playing in the little back yard/garden. However, the bath is missing a plug so I couldn't bath my children who hate showers but had to have them which wasn't easy but big fluffy towels afterwards helped ☺. On the whole we have had a fantastic short break at Aelia cottage but a few changes/additions would be welcome like more recycling facilities, the plug, a comfier chair in the living room as the seating just manages 6 people...oh and a corkscrew!! a living room lamp which works (no bulbs) and there were no laundry bags for bedding and towels which were supposed to be there as per the owner's instructions. We will definitely be returning and have already shared the property link with friends. See you soon Aelia cottage.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! It sounds as though Aelia was a great place for your family to enjoy their getaway! We will look into all of the above to ensure your next visit is perfection! Thank you for bringing these things to our attention. Property Owner

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aelia Cottage."
Really well equipped, an amazingly comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom and warm and cosy. Parking wasn't too much of a problem with a little patience. We would definitely stay here again. Our only gripe was the leather sofa that was so slippy and therefore difficult to crash out on.
Thank you for your feedback. It's lovely to hear you had an enjoyable time at the cottage and we appreciate your feedback on the sofa, also. Property Owner

"It was a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay."
Unfortunately, there were a couple of small issues which you might like to know about for future reference. When we arrived, approx 8pm, the cottage was very cold and although we followed instructions we could not get the Hive to work, then my daughter noticed the battery light flashing so we looked everywhere for new batteries but could only find a few loose ones in a drawer, luckily these worked and we got the heating on and it warmed up in no time!! The other thing was we were asked to strip beds and put all bedding (and towels) in the sacks provided but, although we searched high and low probably 3 times, we could not find any sacks, so we stripped beds and left bedding on the floor and towels on bathroom floor.
We put dishwasher on as we left, as stated in rules, but then found a conflicting rule telling us to do it the night before, which was now too late!
Nothing bad at all, just these little niggles which I'm sure can be easily rectified for future guests. Thank you for a lovely stay in a lovely place.

"Perfect location, wonderful home."
Everything was a high standard and clean. Ideal for all of the Cotswolds and just a short stroll into lovely Cirencester.
Parking was a problem but nothing could be done about it, it's just the nature of the location.
would stay again for sure!

Great, very central location in a lovely quiet street. Cottage was clean and well appointed. Parking was not an issue at all as we managed to park right outside each day.

"As a whole it was a very pleasant cottage and fairly well appointed."
We had a couple of issues with cleanliness, the place was very dusty especially in the living room. The oven had a tray that hadn’t been washed up and was covered in grease and food remnants, some cups hadn’t been washed up and were just put in the cupboard dirty. The other minor issue was a lack of saucepans, had loads of lids though. No oven gloves and one tea towel.
Everything else was great. Town was lovely, parking was a bit of a pain but I knew this when booking. All in all we had a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the country.
Many thanks for your feedback on Aelia Cottage. We can only apologise for the cleanliness issues you experienced. The housekeeping team has now been changed ensuring we do not experience these issues again. We agree, beautiful house in a fantastic location. Manor Cottages. Property Owner

"Lovely, cosy, clean cottage."
Fantastic location. The town and all pubs, restaurants, shops were a 5 minute walk away. There’s a designer outlet in Swindon 20 mins drive away which was good. Bourton-on-the-Water 20min drive away, really beautiful place, good pubs. Stratford-upon-Avon 35 min drive away. Highly recommend Cirencester. Such a beautiful place with so many great locations to visit within less than an hours drive. The cottage was lovely. It’s street parking but we always managed to find somewhere a few minutes walk away, don’t let it put you off.

"We stayed for 4 days (3 nights) - 4 adults and 2 kids in this cottage during autumn half term."
We had a lovely time. The cottage is comfortable, clean, welcoming, well decorated. It helped that towels, bedding, diswasher tablets, washing liquid, salt / pepper, toilet papers, etc. were provided. All appliances were working. Plenty of hot water. Great choices of DVDs. Within walking distance to Cirencester city centre. We always found spaces to park in the street (we had 2 cars). The location is great to visit the Cotswolds or even Bath / Gloucester. We would really recommend this cottage.

"Parking a significant issue particularly when arriving in the rain."
Parked the car and never attempted to move it during our stay (restricted our wandering, but my choice).
Strangely, the Cd player was not connected at either end (?). Lovely comfortable fitted cottage which we enjoyed.

"Absolutely beautiful cottage, furnushed to a very high standard & extremely comfortable."
Lack of parking at the cottage needs to be mentioned in details for booking. We were unaware & weather was bad for un-loading the car, but it wouldn’t put us off returning now we know.
A minor detail for maybe future improvement, installation of another toilet, maybe kitchen where fridge/freezer is? One bathroom/toilet absolutely fine for a couple renting, but for five adults was a bit of an issue.
Fantastic overall & a lovely stay

"Family of 6 myself and husband two sons and partners."
Very impressed with this cosy cottage, well equipped, very comfy beds and very clean. Well located. My son and partner didn't want to leave, they would gladly have moved in! We were there for two nights - only small issue for us if we had been there for longer would be just having the one bathroom. Welcome biscuits were lovely too - thanks. We went to the Thai Emerald restaurant which was amazing and to a few local pubs which were lovely too.

"Great for a long weekend, the location was perfect."
The cottage is finished to a very high standard and felt cosy for a winter weekend away.
We may have struggled for a longer stay with only one loo between 6 adults, and could have ideally done with an extra seat for the lounge. But this hasn't deterred us from potentially returning next year.
