Bruce and Jackie provided bread butter milk coffee tea wine and homemade jam. The only minor issue being the lack of oven gloves. An enjoyable and comfortable stay in a lovely part of England.

It was a bonus to have the private garden where we could sit out. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The only very small complaint we would make is that we could have done with slightly larger bedside tables.

We had everything we needed in Straw Cottage as it was well equipped . It was near to the shops & restaurants on the main street & ideally situated for visiting different places around the area. Jackie & Bruce were considerate hosts & made us feel welcome & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

  • "Excellent value for the area and well located."

The property was larger than expected from the pictures, well appointed and clean. A generous welcome pack included tea bags coffee, and milk. Bread, spread, mamalade and a bottle of wine. It is set in nice gardens with off road parking, although the access to parking is quite tight. I would definately book again.

We were made very welcome and the bread, wine etc were such a kind touch. The only thing we thought that would be a bonus was a king-size quilt on the bed. We will definitely be back when we're visiting our granddaughter next. Thank you very much

  • "Lovely well equipped cottage set in a beautiful village."

The owners left us a very nice bottle of wine along with bread, butter and marmalade. Much appreciated. Very relaxing stay. Great setting to explore the surrounding areas. Think it could get a bit chilly in the winter as it has electric radiators, luckily still fairly mild for our stay.

  • "Lovely little cottage in a nice town of Cricklade ideal for base for exploring the Cotswolds."

A couple of good pubs within 10 minute walk for food as well as takeaways. We got very warm welcome from the friendly proprietors. Very comfortable only 1 slight little comment maybe could do with decorating but that dosen't take away a nice little cottage.

Thanks for your feedback. The cottage has been booked throughout the year, preventing access for decoration. With winter now approaching there will be opportunities to freshen up the decoration and this will be completed before springtime (and the new booking cycle!) arrive. Property Owner
