  • "Straw Cottage was a great place to stay in the lovely village of Cricklade which has all the amenities you could wish for."

A good base to explore the Cotswolds. The goodies left by the owners were very welcome

  • "We had a really lovely week at Straw Cottage."

We were made very welcome and the bread, wine etc were such a kind touch. The only thing we thought that would be a bonus was a king-size quilt on the bed. We will definitely be back when we're visiting our granddaughter next. Thank you very much

The host is wonderful and available when needed but never intrusive. I love the thoughtful way she runs this holiday cottage, thank you so much!

  • "Lovely well equipped cottage set in a beautiful village."

The owners left us a very nice bottle of wine along with bread, butter and marmalade. Much appreciated. Very relaxing stay. Great setting to explore the surrounding areas. Think it could get a bit chilly in the winter as it has electric radiators, luckily still fairly mild for our stay.

  • "Lovely little cottage in a nice town of Cricklade ideal for base for exploring the Cotswolds."

A couple of good pubs within 10 minute walk for food as well as takeaways. We got very warm welcome from the friendly proprietors. Very comfortable only 1 slight little comment maybe could do with decorating but that dosen't take away a nice little cottage.

Thanks for your feedback. The cottage has been booked throughout the year, preventing access for decoration. With winter now approaching there will be opportunities to freshen up the decoration and this will be completed before springtime (and the new booking cycle!) arrive. Property Owner

  • "Delightful one bedroom cottage in a picturesque Cotswold village with off-road car parking."

The hosts Bruce and Jackie are very friendly and welcoming and even provide basic foods like bread, milk, butter and a complimentary bottle of wine. The cottage was very clean and has all the facilities to cook for yourselves if you do not want to use the local restaurants or take-aways. The accommodation is all on one level and if you have mobility problems the rear entrance is the safest with just a single step. The gardens are delightful with plenty of seating to sit and relax. For the walkers the Thames Path National Trail is within half a mile, also the Cotswolds Water Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hoping to return next year.
