My husband and I had a short break here in September and really enjoyed it. The holiday accommodation was very spacious and clean. The hosts were extremely welcoming. Set in beautiful and quiet surroundings yet very well located for numerous day trips. I would definitely recommend Hayleaze Farm.- Vacation789592, September 2020
“This was the first time my husband and I have rented a cottage.”
The accomodation was very clean and the hosts really have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. Set in peaceful, beautiful surroundings making for an enjoyable much needed break. I would highly recommend Hayleaze Farm for a perfect staycation- Mrs Thompson, September 2020
“A very clean, comfortable, safe and easy to stay at cottage.”
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, but never intrusive.......the cottage was much larger than we expected from the photos and the furniture and fittings were of very good quality and well looked after. We enjoyed a very happy, relaxing stay, we walked miles and miles around the neighbouring hamlets and villages, we hardly met anyone, but those we did meet were very friendly towards us, we then returned to the accommodation each day where we easily prepared our evening meals whilst gazing across the fields and relaxed as we planned our next days adventures. We very much needed this holiday and we returned home re-charged and thoroughly relaxed. We would return to Hayleaze cottage tomorrow if we could! Home in Cornwall has been busy the last 2 months and we found this area of Wiltshire an easy place to relax in and enjoyed the freedom and space the fields and footpaths offer here.- Mr Taylor, September 2020
“A perfect, peaceful place to unwind.”
The cottage is lovely and every effort had been made by the owners to make their guests feel safe in these difficult times. Would highly recommend.- Mrs Warren, August 2020
“We were made to feel very welcome.”
The cottage was down a country lane and next door to the farm house. We felt totally secluded, without feeling isolated. The location was beautiful, whilst also offering a wide range of facilities in close proximity. The cottage was fully equipped with wi-fi, washing machine, dish washer, etc We had a very relaxing stay and would love to go back again once this virus has taken its course. Best wishes and good health to all at Sykes and those who provide the accommodation. We have not been disappointed so far. We look forward to doing more bookings with you as soon as we can.- Mrs Bays, March 2020
“We found the location extremely useful for our needs getting to Tetbury, Malmesbury and Cirencester as the location is very central to all three.”
Crudwell has two very high class restaurants in The Rectory for a more formal setting and The Potting Shed for a more relaxed one. The local pub the Wheatsheaf also has very good food although quieter than The Potting Shed has a very pleasant ambience. If you have a dog there are plenty of country walks that are local.- Mrs Withnall, February 2020
“Jennifer and Neil could not have been more friendly and helpful to us.”
There was a lovely welcome and they were always available to give any assistance. They made our stay very easy.- Mrs Withnall, January 2020
“The cottage was really lovely, the location was very easy to vist places, the owners greeted us on arrival very nice people.”- Mr Scriven, October 2019

“The entrance to the cottage was a tight turn from the road the hot water was up and down and the shower heat moved up and down whilst in shower and i got scolded.”
The cottage itself was lovely and comfortable. The roads round and about weren't ideal. we did have a lovely weeks weather after the horrendous raining whilst driving here.- Mrs Ridley, August 2019
“The cottage was a superb in every way.”
It has been completed to a very high spec. It is ideally located for discovering the Cotswolds. The delight of the farm animals added to the experience. This has to be the best cottage I have stayed in over the past few years.- Mr Hughes, August 2019
Warmest of welcomes. Delightful quiet, traffic free rural location on working farm looking out across fields, hedges and trees. Private self-contained, high-spec accommodation ideal for couples, with own separate access and parking. Easy walking distance to two excellent pub/restaurants in the village. Nearby Malmesbury is a historic gem and there are also lots of other places to visit and explore. Would highly recommend.- Mr Hamilton, July 2019
“Beautiful accommodation, clean, comfortable in idyllic surroundings, peaceful countryside and friendly people.”
A local village pub in walking distance (The Wheatsheaf Inn) where we enjoyed a lovely Sunday dinner. We were close to some lovely places of interest, one being Chavenage House (for any Poldark fans) & also Westonbirt Arboretum, will definitely recommend to friends & family.- Mrs Chandler, July 2019

Dating back to the Iron Age and reputedly the oldest borough in England, the pretty market town of Malmesbury is located on a hilltop in the southern Cotswolds. Malmesbury is steeped in history and offers visitors over 400 listed buildings, a 15th century Market Cross, a ruined 7th century Benedictine abbey, an annual carnival and many independent shops, cafes and traditional pubs. Abbey House Gardens, home to 'The Naked Gardeners' can also be found in Malmesbury (Note: The gardeners are clothed during normal opening hours) and the annual Womad Music Festival is close by at Charlton Park. The area offers many country houses, including Rodmarton Manor and Gardens, and Chavenage House, a fine example of a Cotswold manor unchanged for 400 years. Just a short drive away is The Cotswold Water Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covering 40 square miles and offering a wide range of activities, including boating, waterskiing, fishing, cycling, golf and horse riding, plus Bath, Cirencester and Tetbury are all within easy reach and well worth a visit.
