It is very comfortable and very well equipped. The bedding is high quality. Very convenient parking. The owner Charles was particularly welcoming upon our arrival and was very helpful and made the stay very pleasant. Plus, the village is absolutely lovely, quiet and typical of the Cotswolds. I highly recommend this charming place and I will definitely come back.

Duntisbourne Abbotts is perfectly quaint and well hidden from more touristy villages, offering loads of walking pathways to explore. Being only miles away from both Cheltenham and Cirencester, there is plenty to do and enjoy! Would love to visit again!

  • "The cottage is true to its word - a converted barn with original features surrounded by a lovely garden."

. Owner Charles is always available, friendly and helpful, and even left us a bottle of wine and flowers upon arrival! The cottage is perfectly situated in an idyllic charming Cotswolds village with plenty of walks through surrounding fields with sheep. The village even has the longest ford in England! You are also a short drive from plenty of nice pubs and towns such as Cirencester and there is plenty for kids to do with the arboretum and the safari park. All in, there is plenty to cater to all ages but if you prefer a peaceful escape you can get that too.

  • "We had an outstanding two weeks staying at Long Barn in the beautiful hamlet of Duntisbourne Abbots."

The accommodation was well appointed and the barn's 17th century origins provided a lovely ambiance blending stylish English interior design with functional space. We made daily outings to the many gorgeous villages, gardens and historical sites that the Cotswolds has to offer, however, at the end of the day we looked forward to returning to ‘our’ village and the Long Barn, especially because it is off the beaten path with no tourists in sight. In fact, we saw more horses, cows and sheep than cars. Our host Charles could not have been more hospitable and provided us with both privacy and helpful suggestions to make the most of our stay. We highly recommend The Long Barn. Thanks Charles.

  • "We actually booked through booking."

Com and were very surprised to be contacted by your organisation, Sykes Cottages. This was not at all clear to us, when we booked. Although Sykes Cottages staff is very helpful and accurate, we feel that it is not OK that we should be working with two organisations, it was very confusing. When booking with booking.com, we like to have all communication through booking.com, not another organisation. This has cost us a lot of money due to the extra calls to the UK. Feedback on the holiday has been given on the site of booking.com, we are not going to do this twice.

Thank you Charles!

He went out of his way to help us after we had unknowingly left something behind. The garden is lovely, with BBQ and dining area. We had great weather for the entire week and got great use of it which was fantastic as it was something that was important to us when we made the original booking. The Long Barn is a great base to go and explore the beautiful Cotswolds. We cant wait to return to the area and would book here again. • "This barn rental was not our first choice."

The owner of our original booking 'pulled the plug' a week before our arrival date. Sykes reacted quickly and within a couple of hours we agreed the barn alternative. This was unexpectedly good service. The Long Barn is tastefully furnished. It was very clean and the bed linen first class. It lacks a discrete shower and the bath tub, although equipped with shower taps, does not have a shower curtain or similar splash protection. The barn is not suitable for anyone with an infirmity owing to the spiral steel staircase. The kitchen is well equipped but lacks a dishwasher. We were impressed by the coffee maker and the range of coffee cartouches' supplied FOC. In addition and not often found in rentals was a good supply of toilet and kitchen paper plus cleaning materials and cloths. We stayed in the barn during the second week of November 2017. The main ground floor room and kitchen were cold despite increasing the electric radiator temperatures. The bedrooms are however warm and cosy. The owner is charming and did his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Spiral staircase and low trusses make you tread upstairs with care. However lots of thoughtful extras make this cottage a cosy and pleasant stay. Charles, the owner is very friendly and shares his beautiful garden, BBQ and dining terrace. The village is charming, without a pub, but plenty not far away. Lots of lovely walks nearby and plenty of places in the Coxwolds to visit.
