  • "The cottage is lovely and the garden is fabulous."

    Everything was exactly as we'd hoped, with the exception of a cafetiere in the kitchen... It's a very well equipped kitchen, but this simple and inexpensive additon would be very welcome..! Otherwise, full marks all round..!

    Thank you for your kind review of 1 Eastington and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. The cafetière must have gone missing. A replacement is on order! Property Owner

  • "There was no mention of an alarm which went off on entry."

    CIA had to call to disable the alarm and reset. The directions to the property were not accurate as the lane had a left turn which hid the cottage and we went straight on where it was hard to turn around.

    Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to hear about the alarm, on occasion alarms do develop faults which are beyond our control. We will also review the directions to the property. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Such a beautiful spacious cottage overlooking lovely countryside, it had everything you could possibly need."

    The garden garden was inviting and well stocked including some gorgeous roses. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could ever want to prepare a large dinner to then enjoy in the attractive dining room. The whole cottage was absolutely spotless, unfortunately there is no house guide to tell you what to do in an emergency, or how to use the cooker etc, neither was there any up to date information on the area and footpath guides would have been nice to have. I found the single bed rather narrow and high but very comfortable . Lots of personal touches which made the cottage nice and inviting so l would love to go back. There was an unfortunately a bad leak but all praise to Sykes for dealing with it very swiftly.

    Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at No 1 Eastington. It's lovely to hear you enjoyed the house, it's the most wonderful setting, yet not to far from everything in the Cotswolds. We will arrange for Housekeeping to check all the information is up to date in the cottage, so thank you for this comment. We hope to welcome you back in the future. • "Lovely long weekend break at No."

    1 Eastington. The cottage was wonderful and in a lovely position as described. There was everything you needed provided for. My bed (the double) felt luxurious with crisp white sheets and bedding. The cottage was very clean. Only a couple of issues; the first one was the Internet, fantastic speeds the Saturday, on Sunday it went down and no amount of rebooting would correct it. This is not a big deal and we did not come away to sit on the Internet all weekend, but just thought you should know. The second issue, there was no welcome pack. In the holiday details it said all the properties had a welcome pack with all the info we needed. So we were not too sure about where to leave the rubbish, where to leave the dirty linen, towels etc, and we struggled to find the Internet code and initially how to use the big oven. We were not sure about the key fob and security system so we just left well alone and hoped it was OK. Also knowing emergency numbers like local doctor etc would have been a useful back up. So we just used our common sense and got on with it. But overall the holiday was fantastic and we loved our stay. The two issues above did not spoil anything. It was so peaceful and the perfect getaway.

    Thank you for your constructive comments with regard to No 1 Eastington. We are sorry to hear of the issues that you encountered and will ensure that we look into producing a welcome folder. With best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

About the location

NORTHLEACH

Bourton on the water 5.5 miles; Stow-on-the-wold 9.1 miles;

Northleach is just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.

Please note: All bedding is feather.
Please note: This property has a £200 Good House Keeping Bond.
Please note: The garden is not enclosed and is multi-level in areas, please supervise children at all times
**PLEASE NOTE the microwave oven should be left at an angle and not flat against the wall as it blocks the boiler relay panel in the kitchen. Blocking the relay could contribute to heating issues in the property!
Please note an initial supply of logs & kindling is provided for the property between October until end of March; additional log supplies can be purchased locally.
