Norton Cottages

Two characterful barn conversions resting amongst the majestic surroundings of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, hidden away in the pretty village of Whitchurch. Each property enjoys a flexible sleeping arrangement, allowing groups of families and friends to come together to enjoy all that this part of the country has to offer, including the nearby, enchanting Royal Forest of Dean. In each of the properties, you will be delighted by a spacious open-plan layout containing everything you could need for a self-catered stay, as well as private gardens, so that you can enjoy your rural settings in peace or with all of your loved ones gathered around a sizzling barbeque during a summers evening. Whilst you are here, be sure to take a stroll to the local shop and café, which offers homemade, locally sourced produce, or take a break from doing the cooking and indulge in a delicious meal at the the local pub. From here, a multitude of scenic walks can be enjoyed across the Wye Valley AONB, while the quaint village of Symond's Yat is just a stone's throw away. The village of Whitchurch lies between the small market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean. Boasting lovely walks in every direction, Whitchurch has a thriving village shop and coffee shop selling locally sourced products, a pub and a restaurant. Just a short distance away is Symonds Yat, a pretty Herefordshire village, which straddles the River Wye, home to the magnificent natural limestone rock popular with wildlife enthusiasts and climbers, as well as a Butterfly Farm and Maze. The Royal Forest of Dean, England's largest oak forest and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts many outdoor activities, including horseback riding, abseiling, caving, numerous cycle routes and a high wire rope course. Other activities on offer for the less energetic include fishing, golf and kayaking to name just a few. Close by is the pretty village of Goodrich with its 12th century Marcher Castle, village shop and two pubs both serving good food.
