The garden is a riot of colour in the spring and summer with a lovely display of attractive of attractive plants and shrubs, plus there are stunning views over the surrounding countryside – a wonderful spot to relax in at the end of a busy day.

Inside it’s been nicely renovated with comfy furnishings and offers a cosy retreat for a couple.

The single bedroom hosts one double bed, while there is a first floor bathroom with shower over bath, WC and basin. All the mod cans you’d expect to have are there, including a wood burning stove, TV and with fuel and power, bed linen and towels all included. Wotton-under-Edge, dating back to the 10th century and steeped in history and culture, is set in the beautiful southern Gloucestershire countryside.

This historic market town is set entirely within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding chocolate box Cotswold towns and villages, including Tetbury and Badminton, with their Royal connections.

There are also many National Trust properties within easy reach.

Enjoy the many walks and cycle trails from the town, including the Cotswold Way which passes through the centre.

Wotton-under-Edge boasts many individual shops, cafes and restaurants, together with historic buildings, an open air swimming pool, a digital cinema, museum, and an Iron Age fort dating back to 940 AD. “Cottage is just 100 yards from Cotswold Way footpath.”

Friendly, welcoming owner who provided fresh flowers, fruit, bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival. All very cosy and clean. The local pub in Hillesley (1 mile away) owned by a consortium of villagers, a CAMRA pub of the year, serves over half a dozen real ales, real local cider and excellent pies. Loved hearing the owls at night. Pets welcome.
