  • "We enjoyed a comfortable few days in Cleeve Cottage during a wet and cold period in January."

It has excellent heating facilities, including a Rayburn in the kitchen and an open log fire. The kitchen is well equipped and for coffee lovers, it has a cafetiere. There is ample space for parking on the driveway to the house. The beds were very comfortable, although the main bedroom would benefit from more storage space. As others have suggested, contact the owner for accurate directions to the property, as those on the website are vague. The house is a good base from which to explore the River Severn area and to visit Slimbridge WWT.

  • "We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at Cleeve cottage."

The property was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities required. The property owner was very helpful and was available to answer any queries I had. I would recommend getting directions from her before arrival as I found the directions provided with the booking doesn’t make the location obvious. We hope to stay at Cleeve cottage again in the future.

  • "Perfect cottage in an idyllic spot."

Easy to visit numerous historic houses/castles and perfectly placed for walks. Mattress in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable and a microwave in the kitchen would have been a useful addition.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay but sorry the bed was not as you’d like. All of the mattresses and (most of) the bedding is brand new so perhaps the kingsize is still a little firm. We will investigate and look into a topper to improve comfort. Property Owner
