Cosy, comfy cottage full of character in a great location.

  • "Chipping Camden is the best location for the Cotswolds."

Positives are well equipped kitchen, plentiful supply of logs, comfy bed. Negatives are sofas are grubby and uninviting, needs cleaning and some nice plump cushions, carpet needs cleaning, glass in wood burner needs cleaning, shower needs a deep clean. As many others have mentioned lack of storage for clothes in the bedrooms. Lock on door still needs replacing/repairing. Very disappointed that there were no Christmas decorations.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at The Brew House. It's lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay and the area is lovely to base yourself to explore the Cotswolds. Thank you for your feedback, we will pass this onto Managed Services to review. With regards to the decorations, because these have to last over Christmas and New Year and it's a real tree in most property's, we cannot put them in to early as otherwise they wouldn't last until the New Year, but I'm sorry you where disappointed about not having a tree. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in an ideal setting."

Chipping Camden is delightful. It would be helpful to have 2 front door keys. If only one person wants to go out early when others are asleep, you need to either lock them in or leave the door slightly ajar - neither of which is desirable.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at The Brew House. It's great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us at the house, it's the perfect base to explore the area. With regards to the keys, we normally only provide one set of keys, but if you want to go out separate, we advise to put the keys back in the safe, this way guests can come and go as they would like. We would love to welcome you again in the future. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Whilst the cottage was very nice, and in an excellent position, I felt that there were a few minor issues that should be addressed."

    1. Cooking equipment was generally not up to the standard expected. In particular one small frying pan, which was insufficient for 6 adults 2. The number of toilet rolls provided for 6 adults for 3 days was miserly Enjoyed our stay

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you were disappointed with the cooking equipment. We have passed your comment onto Housekeeping. An initial supply of toilet roll is supplied, which is 2 rolls per toilet. This is standard across self catering accommodation. Guest should purchase any extra supplies themselves. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

Very comfortable rooms with sofas and beds we didn’t want to get out of! Also a very nice welcome pack with hot drinks and biscuits. The house is charming and right in the centre of equally charming Chipping Campden. Would happily stay again and recommend to others

  • "Has been previously mentioned by previous holidaymakers, lack of storage."

We stayed a week, and had to live out of suitcases due to lack of hanging space, and drawers. Also the door needed locks looked at. Apart from that a beautiful cottage, in a lovely village.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at The Brew House. We will arrange for Maintenance to have a look at the locks and pass on your comments about storage for review. Kind regards Character Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Lovely, quaint, characterful cottage conveniently situated in beautiful Chipping Campden."

We had a most enjoyable short break, catching up with family. The log burner added to the cosy feel of the cottage. It would have been even better if there had been better storage for clothes etc in the bedrooms and had there been a supply of kindling, as mentioned in the handbook. All in all, a great place to stay and we would certainly consider coming back.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay at The Brew House. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your time away and appreciate your comments regarding the clothes storage. We can only apologise for the missing kindling, and look forward to welcoming you again one day in the future. Best wishes, Character Cottages. Property Owner

  • "The Brew House is a lovely little cottage, generally very well equipped, and we had a great Christmas there."

The generous about of logs left for the log burner was greatly appreciated. One thing that I really do think needs rectifying is the front door/key situation. The only way to shut the front door was to use the Yale latch or to lock the door using the Chubb(?) lock. There was only one key - and as there were 5 of us in the cottage there would be times when some would want to stay in whilst others went out. This caused a particular problem in the evenings as one would have to be locked in the property or to stay up waiting for the others to come home. Not ideal or safe. Another key is definitely needed. A couple of other minor things - although the kitchen was extremely well equipped (absolutely great for cooking a full on Christmas lunch!) there weren’t any oven gloves. There isn’t a full length mirror anywhere in the property, and in the master bedroom (top floor) there wasn’t a mirror near a plug socket to dry hair. Also there is nowhere to put very muddy walking boots! Like others have said it is not easy initially to find the property - it might be good to specify that the front door is not on the high street and also to state that it is past the Robert Welch shop but before you get to the Volunteer Inn. Once again it is a lovely property, just a few minor things that could make it perfect.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at The Brew House. It's wonderful to hear you had a fabulous time spending Christmas at the house with family and friends. We appreciate all feedback given to us and i can confirm the owner will provide an extra key, will put in a full length mirror and the directions have more details on the too. With regards to the oven gloves, these are always provided at the cottage, but on this occasion the Housekeeper forgot, apologies for this. We hope to welcome you back again very soon. • "The location is great but can be hard to find since house numbers aren’t used."

Once you find it (and parking) it’s no problem and very close to restaurants and convenience stores. I’m 6’2” and the ceilings were a problem for me in a few areas. The low beams are clearly marked but be careful in the kitchen and staircases. If you’re not partial to baths, there is only one shower so a large party might need to budget time for getting ready, etc. Everything from beds to kitchenware is great and we enjoyed our stay. Just mind your heads in the kitchen and if you’ve rented a car you may need to search a bit to find a spot. We always found one so it wasn’t an issue, just something to think about. Wonderful cottage!

Well equipped. Great character. Fabulous location. Would rebook another time or recommend. - Blackout blinds in the twin room would help the children to sleep better. - The kitchen tap seemed to be leaking from the base and dribbling along the worktop towards the microwave. - We struggled to find it when we arrived!

Thank you kindly for leaving feedback, and it's lovely to hear that you will recommend. What a beautiful village Chipping Campden is so many lovely pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and shops. The cottage was very cosy, warm and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The toilet on the first floor has an issue with the flush button it keeps getting stuck and needs repairing fairly urgently before it doesn’t work at all. The sofas could do with some cushions but other than this we had a lovely stay.

Located in the heart of Chipping Campden, there a local shops, coffee/cake shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Walks (either locally or a short drive away) are plentiful, if your reason for staying in the Cotswolds is to explore the beautiful scenery. On our 3 week tour of England, this was decidedly our favorite place to stay. The cottage ceilings were low, but it was part of the old-world charm and we quickly grew accustomed to ducking our head. The two bedrooms share their floor with a beautifully appointed shower room, complete with Italian sanitary ware.
