The property

Winchcombe 4.9 miles Nestled in beautiful gardens on the edge of the rural village of Temple Guiting, sits this traditional Cotswold honey-coloured stone cottage, The Furrow.

The dwelling has a stunning bedroom, making it the perfect romantic getaway for a couple.

As you enter through the front door, be welcomed into the kitchen, where you can cook delicious, romantic meals for you and your loved ones, before retreating to the traditional dining area to tuck into your meal and toast to the start of your holiday.

The traditional sitting area provides a welcoming space for you and your loved one to curl up on the sofas (one of which opens to a double sofa bed on request), whilst watching a DVD, as the electric stove-effect fire keeps you warm and toasty.

For convenience, a shower room sits on the ground-floor, refurbished to a contemporary style, containing a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

When night falls, head up to the eaves of the cottage where you will find a welcoming king-size bedroom and the family bathroom, where you can indulge amongst the bubbles in the bath before heading for some rest.

Catch the morning sunrise in the private garden area, whilst enjoying your morning coffee sat at the outdoor table, or have a leisurely morning walk around the owner's beautiful, large garden.

The village is perfectly located, by the stunning River Windrush, in the heart of the North Cotswolds countryside, where you can spend a fun day out at Cotswold Farm Park, or venture over to one of the local market towns such as Winchcombe which is an ancient Saxon town with impressive architecture, independent shops, cafes, country inns and fine dining restaurants, also known as the walking capital of the Cotswolds, with many footpaths right on its doorstep, many of which incorporate sections of the Cotswold Way long distance walking trail which covers over 100 miles of spectacular countryside.

Historical market town, Stow-on-the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold villages, and is a small market town with an array of boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, as well as the Farmers’ Market which every second Thursday of each month, featuring inviting local produce; you can visit the Fosse Gallery to admire an array of contemporary British art, indulge in a bite to eat and drinks at The Stag at Stow, or revel in the scrumptious tea and cakes at The Old Bakery Tea Room.

The nearby regency town of Cheltenham offers a wide range of attractions, one being the well-known Cheltenham Festival, one of the top horse racing events in the UK.
