“We stayed for 3 nights for a 50th birthday, from the moment we arrived and opened the door we were impressed, the house was spotless and had every amenity we needed, and quite a few more, We were particularly keen on the hot tub which was fabulous, the kids loved the gamesroom and table tennis table as well as the football goals, also watching Glastonbury on the huge screen was almost like being there .”

We spent a lot of time in the garden as the weather was good and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the stay. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend Avalon to anyone who wants a spacious, well equipped and comfortable base to explore the cotswolds or just wants a quiet time away. Plus the owners live close by and were incredibly helpful and quick to reply to any queries we had with the house or just the area in general. Thank you very much for a very memorable weekend

About the location

LEONARD STANLEY

Stroud 3 miles; River Severn 7 miles.

Leonard Stanley is a Gloucestershire village nestling beneath the Cotswold escarpment, overlooking the Severn Vale. Formerly, a Saxon village, Leonard Stanley became a busy weaving and agricultural centre, with shops and cottage industries. The community however still has a heart and the wealth of rural life still exists. The village is situated seven miles from the the city of Gloucester and thirty miles from Bristol. It is easily accessible by road, just three miles away. There are railway stations at Stroud, Stonehouse and Cam and international airports at Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham. The village of Stroud is certainly worth a visit; the undiscovered, hidden, quiet area is great for walking, sports, eating and drinking in cosy pubs.
