Located down a quiet track and overlooking open countryside, The Piece is a unique, charming and high standard holiday cottage that is absolutely ideal for families and groups.
Its history is significant - as it was once the cottage lived in by the Lower Swell Manor housekeeper back in the 16th Century.
Its unique layout made it more important (back then) than the property next door, which originally housed the 'socially less important' Manor gardener!
Today the cottage is a luxury holiday home fit for the Lord of the Manor, sparkling top of the range kitchen, cosy woodburner, sumptuous bathroom and large comfortable beds across three floors.
Modern and stylish furnishings are mixed with period features - the original flagstone floor, beams and lead windows combine to give this an absolutely top-notch feel.
Outside you've got off street parking (not that this is important in a quiet village like this...) along with a garden area front and back.
Families especially will love this home, but it is likely to appeal just as much to friends who want to sample the Cotswolds at its best.
With the pub quite literally 2 minutes from your front door and Stow on the Wold 3 minutes in the car - everything you could possibly need is here!
Three bedrooms: 1 x first floor king size bedroom, 1 x second floor twin, 1 x second floor kingsize. First floor bathroom with bath, walk in shower, WC and basin. Additional first floor toilet with WC and basin. Ground floor kitchen/diner. Living room with woodburning stove.
About the location
STOW-ON-THE-WOLD 1 MILE
Surrounded by rolling countryside this is quintessential Cotswolds in many ways. A cracking local pub along with a host of beautiful buildings including a pretty church.
For those who like to walk, you can reach Stow via a path which goes straight into the heart of the town all in about 30 mins (about 1 mile away). Stow, of course, is one of the Cotswolds most famous market towns, renowned for its quality shops, cafes and restaurants. Very much a working town, there is a market day each month as well some excellent little festivals which pepper the year.
Note: Staircases to second floor bedrooms are steep.
