  • "Leys Cottage is a very comfortable property located on the edge of Lower Swell on the road to Stow."

Stow is about 20 minutes walk along a good path which follows the road and then through a wood at the side of the road. The cottage is very well equipped with a lovely garden overlooking open fields. There is a pub in the village serving food. There are plenty of good walks in all directions and we had a very enjoyable week.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and would like to thank you for the kind comments in your feedback. We hope you will return again soon. Property Owner

  • "I requested 2 high chairs upon booking I rang few times."

The first person put me on hold for a long time then told me it’s all confirmed and will note this on the system. I rang again just for peace of mind spoke to someone else said they could see no note being made again reassured me that this will be available. Got there to find only one high chair!! I have 8 month old twins that need feeding so yet again. I had ring again causing me more stress and making us late for our dinner booking and even then I was asked if this was urgent! This feedback is for Sykes contact centre. Otherwise the cottage itself was lovely fully equipped. Just found it got really cold in night and when turning the heating up it would drop back down.

So sorry to learn of the confusion on high chairs. We did go out at short notice the weekend before your arrival and purchased an extra high chair and cot which were left in the cottage to await your arrival. Pleased to hear that apart from this issue you were happy with the cottage. Manor Cottages Property Owner

About the location

LOWER SWELL

STOW-ON-THE-WOLD 1 MILE

Surrounded by rolling countryside this is quintessential Cotswolds in many ways. A cracking local pub along with a host of beautiful buildings including a pretty church.
For those who like to walk, you can reach Stow via a path which goes straight into the heart of the town all in about 30 mins (about 1 mile away). Stow, of course, is one of the Cotswolds most famous market towns, renowned for its quality shops, cafes and restaurants. Very much a working town, there is a market day each month as well some excellent little festivals which pepper the year.
