  • "We stayed in Daisy Bank on the first week of August and it was beautiful."

Exactly how you described it and more. The beds were really comfortable. Everything had been thought of. The cottage had a very secure garden which had a gate onto the lawn area. The location was superb - and was walking distance to all that Stow on the Wold had to offer. We spent a wonderful week and would definitely stay here again.

  • "We had an amazing stay at the cottage, it was clean and comfortable."

It is brilliant for dog owners as it has a secure garden. Our dog loved the large paddock that we had access too. The thoughtful touches such as chocolate cake on arrival was also welcomed!

  • "We love the Cotswolds and visit regularly but have 3 dogs so were delighted to find these cottages where they accept them."

The accommodation is comfortable, a great size and very clean. The views from Daisy Bank are brilliant. The kitchen is comprehensively equipped and thank you for the milk and biscuits etc. It was a short walk to Stow either up a track or even via the road if the track's too muddy. The dogs absolutely loved the paddock. The enclosed patio was a boon although we have escapee dogs and our Sprocker in particular, managed to scale the fence of the patio and Into the paddock, so higher netting on the patio would be extremely useful. We will definite be returning.

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Daisy Bank."

It's a great, well equipped cottage in a lovely, peaceful village yet only 5 minutes walk from Stow. It's ideal for dogs as there's a large, enclosed paddock for them plus lots of walks straight from the cottage. The owners were very helpful and had provided everything you may need. We will definitely return.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay, and wished we had booked for longer."

The cottage was warm and welcoming. Magnificent views all round. Weather was very mixed, but didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.

  • "The cottage is a delightful location with an easy stroll to Stow."

Great location also for exploring the Cotswolds. Very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay.

  • "Enjoyable stay will return next year xx thank you."

  • "We spent a wonderful week with our pre-teen daughter and our dog, at Daisy Bank."

The cottage was full of character and everything we needed was there, all to a high standard. There is a tennis court (bring your own rackets), boules and a badminton court with rackets provided. The arrangement of opening sliding doors onto the patio, and access to our own garden, and into the paddock from there, really made looking after the dog's needs very easy. There are plenty of walks suggested and/ or available locally, suitable for taking the dog off the lead while just about all pubs are dog-friendly. Only a short walk into Stow; a beautiful and busy town with fantastic fudge, interesting shops and delicious ice creams. With easy driving to all the Cotswolds villages, this area has everything it's renowned for. We'd love to come back next year... and the next .... !

Cottage had everything needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay and would highly recommend it. Stow on the Wold close by which has good shops, pubs and restaurants and would recommend The Bell which is a short walk from cottage. We really enjoyed our stay in Daisy Bank and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

  • "Our 5th visit and we continue to enjoy the area, its 10 minute walk from Stow, and the clean condition of the accommodation."

. The kitchen is well equipped, and the hosts very friendly. Our kids are old enough now to enjoy the play areas, tennis, table tennis, etc. Local area boasts a number of National Trust properties, and local shops and restaurants are welcoming to a young family. I expect we will be back.

About the location

Bourton-on-the-Water 4 miles; Stratford upon Avon 15 miles.

The highest town in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises olde worlde England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly Farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antique shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of Stow, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close to the town. Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' as the River Windrush runs through the centre, lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are all within easy reach and make a great day out. Cheltenham (20 miles away) is, architecturally, the most complete regency town in England. A spa town with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse-racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. At other times of year, it is host to literature, jazz, classical music, science and food and drink festivals. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called 'The City of Dreaming Spires’ has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also within easy reach, making Stow-on-the-Wold an ideal base.
