  • "We had a brilliant stay at Fairholme cottage."

The cottage itself was very spacious, the interior & furniture were in great condition. The location of the cottage is brilliant. Northleach is beautiful & was my favourite village in the Cotswolds whilst we were there. The Wheatsheaf Inn opposite the cottage was amazing too. Have already recommended the cottage to my parents & once the next lockdown is over they’ll be booking to stay. Thoroughly recommend.

  • "We did a mini week long break from London during these strange times."

They are lovely hosts, and their cottage is absolutely beautiful. It is right across the street from the lovely pub (which does amazing food by the way). Check in was quick in easy, and the garden was absolutely lovely. North leach is at a unique vantage point being so close to all the other beautiful Cotswold villages. Would highly recommend staying at Fairholme - was just the break away from home we needed :)

  • "Fairholme cottage was in a beautiful location in the village of North leach."

The cottage was well appointed with a secluded private (and shaded) garden which was perfect in the hot weather. The cottage is very much a classic Cotswolds home; with higgledy-piggledy beams and low ceilings. If there are 4 of you (and a dog), it does feel a little cramped - and impossible to socially distance in the present climate. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, but probably just with my partner and hound!

  • "A really lovely cottage in a quaint and pretty village!"

The pub across the road was a lovely place to sit and have food or drinks, and even just walking around the square was lovely. We really loved our stay and everything was as brilliant as described on Airbnb. Thank you very much - would definitely recommend to anyone!

  • "Lovely cottage, nice biscuits and a pint of milk waiting for us on arrival."

Comfy beds, great central heating. Easy check in. Everything was great and exactly what we wanted for a few days away. The pub over the road was super food and very welcoming of us with our 2 year old.

About the location

Northleach IS just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.
