The property

Resting in the former mill town of Nailsworth, in the picturesque county of Gloucestershire, is this contemporary apartment, Windon.

Idyllically positioned, Windon makes for the perfect place for a family getaway to the Cotswolds, with doorstep access to an abundance of scenic countryside and quaint settlements.

Stepping over the threshold, be charmed by the light and airy décor of the fabulous open-plan living space, flooded with natural light welcomed in through the modern velux windows and well-presented with a contemporary interior, housing everything you could possibly need during your staycation.

Kick off your shoes and unwind with a sumptuous spot on the sofa in front of the television whilst the designated chef prepares a heartwarming meal for the group in the stylish kitchen, fully-equipped with a range of modern amenities.

Gather together at the rustic bench table to indulge in your culinary delights, or perch at the breakfast bar to enjoy a romantic meal for two.

As the evening draws to a close, load your holiday attire into the handy washing machine in the utility before preparing for bed with a luxurious soak amongst the bubbles in the family bathroom.

Retire for the evening to either of the two king-size bedrooms, both beautifully-finished to a high standard, with one benefiting from access to it's own en-suite shower room.

Being in Nailsworth is definitely one of the highlights of Windon, with an array of shops, pubs and eateries on your doorstep; be sure to explore the rest of the town, with its quaint town centre decorated in Cotswold-stone architecture, the idyllic Nailsworth Stream, offering the perfect setting for a tranquil stroll, along with the ancient woodland of Box Wood Nature Reserve.

Venture north to the nearby town of Stroud and spend some time touring the historic Museum in the Park before embarking on a hike through the plains of Rodborough Common and ending the day with a well-deserved tipple at The Crown & Sceptre.

Tetbury isn't far and is a great location for the history buffs of the group, with the Tetbury Police Museum & Courtroom and the Goods Shed Arts Centre waiting to be explored.

The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty is an outdoor adventurers paradise, with ample walking and cycling trails to venture through; embark on a two-footed adventure throughout the hills of the famed Cotswolds Way, or marvel at the Gothic architecture of Woodchester Mansion.

Choose Windon as the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a lovely break within the Cotswolds.

The area offers many lovely walks including the 105 mile Cotswold Way with some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and the many walks around Westonbirt Arboretum which also hosts many concerts, festivals and plays. The Gothic Woodchester Manor is well worth a visit as is the ancient market town of Minchinhampton with its weekly market held in the 17th century Market House, numerous individual shops, antique shops, traditional pubs and cafes. Nearby, Minchinhampton, Rodborough and Selsley Commons, managed by the National Trust, cover over 500 acres and offer far-reaching 360 degree views, ideal for walkers and cyclists.
