  • "We had a brilliant stay at Thorndale Barn to celebrate my Mum’s 70th birthday."

The house is perfect for hosting a family celebration and the open plan set up meant we could all be together, at the dinner table or in the living area. We were greeted with a delicious home made lemon drizzle cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers and when we met Rosie, the owner, she she gave us all the information we needed and couldn’t have been more helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in a brilliant location. Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback. We agree Thorndale Barn has a beautiful setup and is perfect for a family gathering. It is great to see you liked the welcoming touches and got to meet the lovely owner. We hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "This was our 3rd stay at Thorndale Barn."

The house and annexe are beautifully appointed, the beds, pillows and bed linen are fabulous quality making sleeping just perfect. The addition of the log burner and fuel makes Thorndale a home from home on a November evening. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • "We were lucky enough to enjoy 7 days at Thorndale Farm Barn over Christmas."

The property exceeded our expectations in every way! The surrounding farm is absolutely stunning and perfect for long country walks. Each room is unique and furnished beautifully, and the living space is a lovely to relax in. The house is also equipped with everything (plus more) you will require. Rosie went above and beyond as a host, she even kindly placed a decorated Christmas tree and table decorations in the house and left delicious mince pies for us on arrival. Would highly recommend!

Warm, welcoming and flexible in accommodation with a lovely open plan downstairs ideal for gatherings. Very helpful owners live right next door in the main house and ready to help, or leave alone as needs be. The photos are very accurate and up to date, but do not do it justice...

  • "We had the most amazing family Christmas at Thorndale Farm Barn & Stable."

The property is not only beautiful, comfortable and homely, but also spacious and so well equipped. We felt at home the minute we arrived ... everyone, including my rather frail 90 year old parents and our 3 & 5 year old grandchildren, loved every minute of their stay. Rosie our hostess was so welcoming and helpful. We had the best Christmas ever ....the memories will stay with us forever ...we really appreciate being able to bring our extended Anglo-Australian family members, both young and old, together in one place around a magnificent roaring fire ... thank you so, so much.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely feedback on Thorndale Farm Barn. We are so pleased to hear you had the best Christmas ever and made memories that will stay with you forever! Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Eleven of us (3 families) had a wonderful stay for 2 nights to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday."

The cottage/barn is absolutely lovely - even better than the photos - with every detail taken care of. It is set in 1000 acres of beautiful countryside and the views are stunning. We booked a table at the Wheatsheaf Inn in Northleach on Saturday night. The food was all lovely and the pub had a busy, cosy atmosphere. The only thing I would mention is the fact that the underfloor heating thermostat was turned up quite high, which meant the first night was very hot! (We eventually turned the heating off); however, every other part of our stay was exceptional. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are pleased to hear you had a wonderful stay and we hope your Mum had an amazing birthday. Property Owner

  • "This was our 3rd visit to Thorndale."

We are a group of 11 friends and it works perfectly for us. The bed linen and towels are exceptional . The beds all very comfortable. The house itself is the best equipped of any holiday home I’ve stayed in. The Vestey family are delightful, nothing is too much trouble. Always a welcome pack including home made cake. And the location is perfect - looking out onto beautiful countryside in a quiet location but near to Cirencester and Cheltenham as well as pretty villages and National Trust properties. We are hoping to go back in 2020!

Thank you for returning to Thorndale for the 3rd time and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2020! Property Owner

Very young children were well catered for with high chair, travel cot and safely gates. Our two dogs were also welcomed with dog bowls and dentistix- even a hot water hosepipe to clean them down. Can’t rate this place high enough.

    Top quality in every way.

  • "The barn is beautiful, every room decorated to a high standard, with really wonderful furnishings and spotlessly clean."

The host took the time to leave us a cake, and fill jugs of water with glasses in each bedroom which was a really nice touch. In terms of making us feel welcome, we cannot fault this place or the host and the little touches were greatly appreciated. We would absolutely return here and recommend this place to anyone looking at a group stay in the Cotswolds. The side cottage to sleep the extra 4 people is also just as nice as the main house, with beautiful decorations so its certainly not sub-standard compared to the main building.
