  • "Beautiful location, extremely clean and well equipped, big enough for eight adults, but only five of us due to restrictions."

Downstairs en-suite bedroom suitable for my elderly mother. Really enjoyed being in the centre of the Cotswolds.

    Mrs SuffieldOct 2020

  • "Pros - Beautiful Idyllic setting, Peaceful, Tranquil but with a family vibe(great games room), sort of like a really small but more upmarket center parc vibe, lovely cafe/ restuarant - this was perfect food - lovely breakfast and amazing club sandwich - small menu but just what you might want!"

They left you alone but were available. The walks around the farm were super, great animals little parks here and there. Surrounding villages all great.. wifi great - if you have to do a bit of work. Cons - had to come home! Missing this place already and will definitely rebook.. Suggestion - maybe a hot tub? suppose hard for communal use especially in this time but would be lovely to sit out in the stars in one..

  • "Lovely area."

The accommodation was good quality and well laid out and in very good condition. Jacquie and Katie on site were very helpful and friendly. The beds were especially comfortable. The pre ordered frozen food was delicious. We loved the fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm help your self. Some fine walks just outside the door and the dog friendly village pub at Cold Aston is easily reachable on foot via an avenue of trees, suitable footwear required. A Lovely week.

  • "Cottage was all round fantastic, couple of minor issues which were so minor I can't even remember them!"

\ \ \ We chose this cottage based on the price, capacity with plenty of bathrooms and nice open plan area for the family to be together, the games room was an added bonus which was well used. Worth mentioning the customer service before and during the stay was excellent.

    Mr Startup

  • "Cobnut was very spacious and clean."

Loved that it was practically brand new! The kids loved the alpaca and chickens and the small soccer field was fantastic. The Notgrove property is beautiful with great walking trails.

    Mrs Hamel

  • "The area was a good central spot for touring the Cotswolds."

Bourton on the Water, the nearest village is beautiful and my favourite place. We visited Oxford, Stow on the Wold, The Slaughters and other small villages. The grounds and the accommodation were spotless and the views stunning. Collecting eggs from the chickens was fun considering we are all middle aged women! Making friends with the donkeys and alpacas was a lovely experience.

    Mrs Adkins

  • "Decorated to a truly exception standard - in fact most thought better than their own homes."

.. Location couldn't have been better for us, as we had organised the while weekend around being at the cottages and the big boys loved the games room.

    Mrs Saunders

  • "The cottage was very well equipped and spacious for the number of people staying."

Particularly good that each bedroom is en-suite. The games room was really good fun but quite tiring ! Two fridges is a brilliant idea for 8 people.\ \ \ DidnÂ’t take advantage of the food in the games room, but it looked very appetising and handy if you donÂ’t bring your own.

    Mrs Mitchell

  • "We stayed at the Notgrove Estate 2 years ago and had to come back."

We fell in love with the Cotswolds. The property is beautiful, well maintained, comfortable and a fantastic place for the children to play. My children loved the play room, the animals (especially the two goats who visited our garden every day). Mrs Church, June 2017.

About the location

BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER

Stow-on-the-Wold 4 miles; Moreton-in-Marsh 8 miles; Chipping Norton 13 miles; Cheltenham 15.5 miles.

Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water dates back to Neolithic times with over 100 buildings being Grade II listed or higher. The picturesque high street nestles alongside the River Windrush over which several low stone bridges span, which is why Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds. Tradition states that an annual football match is played in the summer, in the River Windrush with the banks lined with spectators, with the aim to score as many goals as possible and get as wet as possible! The village has an eclectic range of visitor attractions, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdland Park and Gardens as well as a Dragonfly Maze, monthly farmers’ market as well as many tea rooms, an artisan bakery, antiques and craft markets, traditional sweet shop, cycle hire and its very own perfumery. Nearby, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises traditional England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antiques shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Also take a visit to the medieval town of Burford for a great day out. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are both within easy reach and make a great day out. The spa town of Cheltenham is, architecturally, the most complete Regency town in England with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called The City of Dreaming Spires has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also all within easy reach.
