  • "This was our second stay at Oat Hill Cottage."

It is a very cosy, warm and comfortable cottage which is ideal for a couple but would be a squeeze for four adults. The cottage is ideally situated for both local walks and also for exploring the Cotswolds. It is just a few minutes walk from the Snowshill Arms which with its attractive open log fire serves good, reasonably priced meals and the local Donnington Ales. Snowshill Manor which is owned by the National Trust is around 10 minutes walk from the cottage.

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, John Property Owner

  • "Perfect Cotswolds location for 2."

    - 4 at a squeeze. Parking a bit restricted and description of outside area as a patio is coming it a bit strong But we had an excellent week overall in a beautiful area.

  • "Really enjoyed the short but lovely stay."

Only small kink was not having tea/coffee available, understand it is due to Covid, but a reminder would have helped as we did stop by a store before arriving at the cottage. Lesson learned and not a criticism, just a suggestion.

  • "We had a great stay."

The cottage is perfectly positioned to get to a wide range of walks and towns of interest. The small courtyard and lack of garden makes it a bit tricky for dogs, but we easily over came this.

  • "For what we wanted to do, largely walking, nature watching ( birds and hares) and sightseeing this is a perfect location."

The cottage has a small courtyard but there is lots of outside space in the village and Inn ( and the gardens of the Manor for NT members). The main bed which is listed as double but I think king size, is very comfortable. Able to do lots of walking from the cottage with Cotswolds Way and Winchcombe Way both just quarter of a mile from cottage door. Kitchen is well equipped with good oven, and dining area. Parking is easy right at front door part off road and part on, but road is very wide . The sitting room is snug but comfortable enough, with a 42 tv. Looks like it had been recently dun up as bathroom nice and new dab radios/ microwave/ kettle etc . The lavatory is in a small space but does its job. No complaints and would happily stay again and will definitely return to Snowshill, I can't think of a better location for a walker or sightseer unless you know you want to be in a town.

  • "Oat hill cottage is only big enough for two people, far too small for four."

All the rooms are small, thank goodness there was only the two of us couldn't have coped with any more people. We will not be going again for this reason.

  • "Only minor issue is parking, which is on the side of the road in the village."

More of an issue if you have more than one car in your party. House is lovely and clean with unusual features. Would stay again.

The cottage was beautiful, spotless and very comfortable - perfect for a family of four. We would certainly stay there again.

  • "Very comfotable small cottage, with virtually all new white goods."

As could be expected in an old cottage, the downstais area was quite dark but mitigated by stable door into small and very well used little courtyard. Very happy to visit again, and very comfortable with Sykes service.
