  • "This is a lovely property in a wonderful location."

We enjoyed a relaxing week amongst very friendly neighbours , they were willing to stop and pass the time of day with you. The Stable was very well equipped with everything necessary for self catering. The furnishings were very comfortable and the bed was extremely comfy too. The outdoor space including the paddock is a bonus if your four legged friend joins you ,our dog enjoyed chasing Charlie the owners dog. All in all one of the best holiday cottages we have been to, Kathy and Russell are very hospitable and a welcoming lemon drizzle cake was an added bonus.

Hi S&E Thanks for the great feedback , it was lovely to meet you. We're glad you enjoyed exploring the Forest & t was nice to meet your daughter too. Thanks for the fabulous photos, very interesting & so clear. Please feel free to pop in for a cuppa when you're next visiting the area. Happy Easter K,R & C Property Owner

The cottage is very well equipped, the garden amazing for our small dog and the hosts were very kind and considerate. We've been staying in holiday cottages over the last 20 years, this one is by far the best we've stayed in.

Hi K & J. Thank you for your fabulous feedback, it's very kind of you. It was nice to meet you & glad you got to see Goshawks & boar despite the rubbish weather. Best wishes, K.R & C Property Owner

  • "Super place to stay so convenient for the Forest of Dean and the surrounding area."

The pictures and descriptions are accurate and the joining instructions from the couple who run The Stable are really good. It was nice warm even though the outside temperature during our three night stay was minus three degrees Celsius. There are pubs within walking distance, the Nags Head only 1km away only takes cash, so please note. The edge of the forest is right next to the property which is a lovely bonus.

Hi A & C. So glad you enjoyed your short stay with us despite the challenging weather. Thanks for the great feedback . Hope you have a Merry Festive Season. Best wishes K,R & C Property Owner
