We loved everything about our visit and the location. We will definitely be back. Peter is an author and his books are available on Amazon and in all good book shops. I have read his book "No one stood Taller" (of a trilogy) and its a very powerful read. Lakeside Cottage is now forever etched in our hearts and my words of feedback are only a drop in the ocean, as to the feedback it deserves. If you respect and appreciate yourself and others and want to completely retreat and recharge in a beautiful peaceful environment, Lakeside cottage is the place for you. Thank you so much.

Many thanks for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed "None Stood Taller" too! Only two more in the series to go...until he writes another, but that takes at least a year to publication! Property Owner

!! Cannot recommend this amazing holiday cottage and the couple who own and run it highly enough! I spent 3 weeks here and never got bored of experiencing the wonderful peace and quiet or the stunning views. Although situated in a hidden valley the property is near enough to all the towns and sites you may want to visit. Every home comfort was already provided but if you need anything the owners were more than happy to help out. I shall certainly return for another tranquil retreat! Not often that a place surpasses my expectations but this one is on another level!!!

Thank you so much, Helen, for your very kind words. Glad we came up to spec! We shall look forward to seeing you again some time; in the meantime, keep safe. Property Owner

Peter and Carol are fantastic hosts and make you feel very welcome. The barn itself is of top quality and it is brilliantly located next to the Cotswold countryside - it's isolated location, the Crow's Nest and views are definitely it's selling points. If I was to critique this holiday destination, EBI there were more space to store groceries. And, you will need a car if you are not actively mobile. I do not like leaving positive reviews as it makes it harder for us to rebook should we wish to come back, but we had a fantastic week and did not want to leave. Thank you Peter and Carol, we already miss our glasses of wine and chats whilst looking across at the deer, rabbits and foxes from the Crow's nest.

A unique setting with exceptional privacy and seclusion and with some lovely walks from the doorstep and within the immediate vicinity. Each bedroom has a lovely en-suite (actually full bathrooms) and plenty of cupboard / wardrobe space. We were out and about most days but the highlight of each day was returning to the cottage for a glass of wine on the Crow’s Nest followed by a cosy evening in front of the woodburner. Lovely.
