“The cottage was better than the photographs, very cosy and everything you could wish for.”

Box itself is a very quite little village with not much going on but that was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing week, would love to come back here at some point in the future.

The property

This beautiful detached stone cottage is located on the edge of Minchinhampton common in the village of Box.

Small and refurbished with plenty of charm, this retreat makes the perfect romantic getaway for couples.

Upon entering, the front door leads to an open plan living area where you can sit back and relax in front of the welcoming woodburning stove.

You will look forward to spending time here from morning through to evening.

To the rear of the room is the handmade kitchen and dining area, providing all the amenities needed during your stay.

Just off from this, you will find a utility and a wet room complete to a high standard.

Take the oak stairway to the next floor and a double bedroom awaits, featuring a beautiful copper bathtub.

A charming en-suite completes the accommodation.

Outside, you can relax in the well kept garden during warmer evenings.

The village of Box is sure to impress, boasting an attractive little church and a well-appointed village hall which hosts many and varied events, including live music performances, along with a host of clubs and societies.
