  • "Just back from a girls weekend celebrating a 60th birthday, the venue was just perfect for us especially with the covered hot tub."

John was very helpful and understanding when we needed to rearrange our booking. We all had a fantastic weekend and would definitely book again

  • "Really nice cottage in a beautiful setting, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds."

Great to have the hot tub in the garden. We were a group of friends getting together and it was ideal that the beds could all be made up as singles. Friendly welcome from the owners and The Red Lion Inn at Long Compton was very good for dinner, thank you for the recommendation!

Thank you for this lovely review. We're so glad you and your friends enjoyed your stay and made the most of the local amenities! Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

) weekend for 3 nights, location was beautiful and the barn itself was amazing!! There was loads of room and beds were so comfortable with lovely linen and pillows! One only slight criticism would be to have more coasters for the cups and some place mats, also a fish slice lol! These are so minor though. We loved it and would highly recommend!!

Thank you so much for your feedback which is much appreciated. We're so glad you and your friends had such a great weekend and loved the location too. Thank you for your suggestions which we will pass on to the owner. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

The owners were really helpful, and more than willing to assist with anything needed. For a group of ladies, the set up was perfect, sleeping arrangements, very spacious, well equipped, a covered area over the hot tub - all exactly what we wanted & the sun was shining too! I would definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend as a great base to explore the Cotswolds from too.

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear that you enjoyed your time at Stepwell and we hope to welcome you again one day soon. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Third time staying at Stepwell in last 6 years, great time as always perfect for our group of friends but some of the soft furnishings are looking tired."

Some stains on sofa and cushions Oven door also needs deep clean . Just a freshen up would improve appearance and enhance already gorgeous barn. Owners as always welcoming and helpful

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.. We're glad you and your friends enjoyed your stay at Stepwell. I can confirm that we were aware of the upholstery and that has now been given another professional clean with good results. With large group bookings spillages are frequent. We were not aware of the oven but that has now been given a thorough clean too.Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention and we hope to welcome you again- making it a fourth time! • "We have just enjoyed a lovely weekend at Stepwell."

The house is in a remote location with wonderful views and footpaths to explore the countryside. Having a covered hot tub was great as it meant we could use it whatever the weather. It rained all weekend but we were able to use the hot tub despite this. The house is well stocked with plenty of crockery and plastic glasses for use in hot tub. There was a selection of condiments such as cooking oil and spices to use which was helpful. The big fridge freezer was handy to store all our food and bottles and the freezer produces a supply of ice, which would’ve been handy to know as we had lugged an ice machine with us. The house is a great social or family space with plenty of room for everyone. Bath towels are provided but individual hand towels would be helpful too. Would definitely recommend Stepwell.
